This pill is dumb! I would rather be pregnant than bleed 24/7. I have taken the pill for three weeks and stopped a few days ago. I am still bleeding and its heavy. I normally have a period every three months but since this pill, its been once a week. I will never recommend this pill to anyone.

I stopped taking this nightmare pill 6 weeks ago. It had caused me to gain over 10 lbs in 3 weeks, all with dieting and working out. As soon as I stopped the weight began to slowly come off, but 6 weeks later, it is still not all gone. normally, it is very easy for me to lose weight, i don't even have to try. something is very wrong here, i think this pill ruined my hormone or my metabolism...stay away from this pill! i know a few of you say you've had no side effects, but most of you have major complaints--do you really want to take that chance of being fat, zitty, and miserable?

Hi Ive been on Femcon FE for one month now. I am 20, 5'1'' and weigh 100 lbs. I have not gained any weight at all, nor experienced any nausea. The first 2 weeks I felt like I had some mood swings, the third week I broke out in horrible acne... However, my period lasted about 4 days and was soo light I almost forgot that I had it. I never got any cramps either. Now, I am on my second month, first week, and my acne is starting to clear a little bit.. However, I have battled acne for a lil while and - as I have been told by doctors - it takes your body time to respond to all these hormones. If you are having problems with acne, just remember that usually things that are supposed to clear acne will break you out for about 2 months before it starts clearing you up. It's your body's response to the drastic change going on inside. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist and using some topical gel (Differin).. it has helped mine a little bit. I don't think I'll change BC because I would rather my body just get used to one type and just stay on it....
good luck ladies! Just remember, don't get too frightened by all these postings because every woman's body is different so not everyone will experience the same side effects.

I am on Femcon FE and am not too sure what to think of it. My boobs got bigger, which yes they hurt constantly, but bigger boobs is worth it to me. haha But other then that, i originally got put on this for my iron deficiency and the fact that i could not swallow a pill. I went on birth control to help regulate my period, because there was no schedule to mine. I have been on Femcon for 4 months now, and still cannot regulate my period. It comes during the 3 week of white pills and it's not even blood. It's gross brownish/red and not to mention it makes me itch. And i never got cramps before and now the 2nd day of my period is almost unbearable. Also, since its not even regulating my period correctly i worry if it's even working as "birth control".
I wanna change but i don't know what to even change to. I don't want my boobs to shrink back, but I guess if i must i will. lol

Hi,
The reason for me taking Femcon is a little different
from the reasons I've read on this website. My OBGYN prescribed them to me because I was experiencing some menopause symptoms. I had skipped a period and the following month it lasted more tha 15 days at an extremely heavy flow. I had been taking it for about 4 days and was just horrible.
I felt very tired, had a lot af anxiety, experienced
an anxiety attack which was just awful, I thought
I was going to die. My mouth was extremely dry and was very depressed, I would have rapid heart palpitations. The way I was instructed to take this pills was for the first 3 days take 4 at a time, then for the next three days take 3 at a time, then 2 and then 1.
I would rather put up with the heavy flow than take
this pills. I'm 48 years old extremely healthy and for the first time in my life I thought I was going to die. I quit after the first day of being on the
3 pill session. I have an appointment with my OBGYN on Monday, I will let him know that I will not take a pill that makes me feel the way I felt with this pill.

i was giving the "free sample" packet of Femcon Fe by my ob-gyn to help with the irregularities of my periods due to PCOS.from day one its been a major pain!a headache and insane nausea!it was awful...and this trend continued non stop through the entire 3 1/2 weeks of use.headache nausea fatigue moody tender breast heartburn...heck...i began to think i was flipping pregnant and took a test to reassure myself i wasn't and that this birth control pill was just really working me over. i know one must allow their bodies to get used to the b/c...but this was ridiculous! i finally threw in the towel last night and stopped taking them.in my third week and already i'm spotting with incredibly bad cramps nonstop.makes me think something is seriously wrong...wait i know..its this freaking pill! i think there is a hidden agenda to these pharmacal companies handing out free samples of b/c....using you as little test subjects without being up front about how bad the effects are on the body.heck...i was foolish enough to be convinced....a minty chewable birth control pill.AWESOME!...cha! they should include on the packaging"This product has the tendency to totally annihilate your sense of comfort during the entire duration of consumption".screw this pill...i'd rather deal with the side effects of my last pill which is like cake and ice cream compared to this one here!

I have 3 white pills left and can't wait to switch brands! Since beginning, I have had non-stop headaches, breakthrough bleeding, and severe mood swings. Mood swings really doesn't describe it though. More like adult angry temper tantrums. This has never happened before. My poor husband actually packed an overnight bag before I broke down and cried for hours on end last night and apologized for my recent erratic behavior. I have had severe anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I can't believe what a difference each pill has on someone! I would recommend never taking this one!!

I have been on FEMCON FE for almost a year and have had no problems.
It has given me shorter periods. (3 days- very light) and even though it cost a pretty penny each month, it is worth it. This was my first time ever on BC Pills and not once did i ever get sick, nor did i gain weight. No headaches or mood swings.Only when I took two pills in one day did i get a little nausea but it passed. You need to just give it time.

Wow, i am so intrigued that i found this website. I just started taking femcon FE. I just started my brown pills yesterday. I just had a baby girl in May. The past few weeks have been horrible for me and now im wondering if it has to do with this pill. I had what i thought was food poisoning about 2 weeks ago. Horrible throwing up and diarrhea which i still have up to this very day. Then last Sunday I began to start feeling very itchy in the vaginal area, which i still have. i bought an otc treatment for yeast infections but i have never had one b4 so it said not to use it. Now im gonna have to go back to the doctor to get checked out.

i absolutely hate this pill. i have only been on it for a couple of days and i feel like im going to die! my breasts are not tender but i constantly have headaches, diarrhea and vomit all the time. I hate it but then again im not gonna say its the worst pill bc its the first time i am on birth control. i don't know if i should keep taking it or just stop. also, im a little confused on how to take the pill bc my doctor just handed it to me without telling me ANYTHING about it even when i told him i have never been on any kind of pill before. he was dumb. if anyone can please explain to me how to take them i would really appreciate it. i am just nervous that my period wont come once i get to the brown pill and what if i take all the brown pills and it doesn't come? what do i do? start a new pack? im sorry if i sound dumb but my doctor shouldve told me everything about this pill before he prescribed it to me.

I have been taking Femcon for about a week now and about 1 to 2 hours after I take it, I have the most severe mood swings ever. I take it about 8pm, the same time I have taken other pills, and I find myself every night crying and then fall asleep due to tiredness. Not fun.

I started this BC as a means to control irregular periods (I was having them every 2 weeks), and although these pills seemed to control that problem , I can tell you it is NOT worth it! I was SO nauseated the first 2 weeks, and after almost one pack, I have gained like 10 lbs--and this is with dieting and working out every day! I have a normally high metabolism and I don't easily gain weight, so that says something. I have also been extremely irritable and anxious. Yes, my chest has gotten bigger, but they are sore all the time. I am stopping the FemconFe today--good riddance!

I wish I had found this site before taking my first dose of Femcon. I had been on Loestrin, and then Loestrin 24 for years. The only side effect was a severe migraine 10 out of 12 months of the year. All of my friends that take BC recommended YAZ-what a nightmare!!! I bled every other week and was miserable.
Went back to the doctor, who prescribed Femcon. Until I read this site, I thought I was losing my mind. In three weeks, I've put on about 5 lbs. that i can't explain-no change in eating or exercise. Although a bigger chest is nice, tight jeans and pants and severe bloating are awful. I can't wait to be done with the pack-any recommendations for low dose pills without these awful side effects?????

I am on my first month of taking this pill. I am on the last brown pills I only have two brown pills left and no period, despite the fact that I am sexually active I just do not think I am preg. we use condoms EVERY time and also pull out while using condoms so i just don't see it... also i feel like I have gained about 3 pounds nothing huge, but enough to make me feel like a fatty. I just switched to this pill after 4 months on yaz, but I had spotting and long painful periods on that. The gyn gave me a month of femconFE and then prescribed me ovcon 35 and said it's the same but some of you ladies said it's not so I am only hoping for something different. I feel very sore and headaches and I cry much more than I used to. I am normally not the type of person to cry but i just have been getting too emotional over nothing, I am definitely thinking it's this pill so i will be on Ovcon 35 in 2 days I am hoping for something better.

The last one he switched me to was Loestrin 24 which was horrible i had every side effect, so i went back on Yasmin. after reading all the posts on Femcon FE im very hesitant and scared to start, Im worried this pill is very similar to LOestrin and im going to have the same side effects.

I have been on BC for about 4 years and was last on Ortho. So when I told my GYN I wanted to be back on BC, she said that FEMCON FE was just like Ortho and to take it the exact time everyday. I found it strange that she told me that I had to take it the same time everyday; something I did not have to do on Ortho. So after taking it the first week and still experiencing bloating and other side effects I thought nothing about it. However, when I took my pill later than scheduled two days in a row, I started bleeding. In addition to the bleeding I developed other side effects...same as mentioned by others. After various comments from co-workers about my complaints that were very similar to pregnancy symptoms, I became very concerned and decided to research this pill. After finding this site, I immediately stopped taking the pill. It's been close to 3 weeks now since stopping and I've seen a world of difference. I am done with BC pills, condoms will just have to do. I already suffer from migraines so that is the only debilitating, uncontrollable issue that I am willing to deal with right now.
I am also convinced that GYN's are making their pockets fat by pushing this BC with their patients...a theory that does not sit well with me, because I had a lot of respect for my GYN before she prescribed this packet of side effects to me.

Thank God I found this website!!! I am completly at my wits ends and now I realize it's the damn pill!!! 3 months ago I came off using Nuvaring because I'd only used it for 2 months when I started bleeding and never stopped! Nuvaring was great for not having to take a pill every day, but it did something else to me that was worse. So the doctor suggested FEMCON FE. I continued to bleed for 2 months and was told to give it a full 4 months at least for my body to adjust. As I sit here crying and typing this to you all, it is an effect of Femconfe, I want to say "DON'T TAKE THIS MESS!" I will stop taking it today in my 2nd week of my 3rd pack of pills.
My symptoms are as follows:
My breast are killing me and I was already a DD!
I've gained 8 lbs after losing 20 previously!
I've have headaches constantly
I have cramping lightly, but daily
My anxiety is through the roof!
I am always depressed!
I've nausea to the point of vomiting a couple of times.
I have no sex drive.
and the worst of all, I have such severe dizziness, I can't function, much less focus!!! I'm a freaking' mess with this stuff!! I guess birth control isn't for me but this is by far the worst in my entire life and I'm 38 yrs of age!
To top all of this off, I read another ladies posting about having a touch of food poisoning and OMG!!!, I went through the same thing and wonder if it had to do with femcon as well. It was approx 3 weeks into taking my pills.
I had diarrhea for an entire week! I thought I'd die from dehydration! I'm actually hoping this was just a stomach virus. Who knows, but it just struck me odd that someone else experienced this as well.
Don't use Femcon ladies, and good luck with finding something that works well with your body.
Blessings.

Since starting Femcon 3 months ago, I have experienced many of the same symptoms as the rest of you...I just wasn't (and still not) sure if it was the pill or if something else was going on. I was put on the pill because I have a bad time with breakthrough bleeding and I have to say that it has helped tremendously with that problem...but at what cost? Again, I'm not positive it is the pill, but since starting it (I have been on several other pills before this one) I have had SEVERE anxiety issues. I feel depressed a lot of the time and constantly worry about my health and obsess over the possibility of having a serious disease. I definitely don't feel normal. I haven't noticed any other symptoms, just anxiety. I feel like I'm unable to enjoy my life through the anxiety the was I was before Femcon. Has anyone else experienced anxiety like this?

Obviously a lot of the gals taking this hormonal formulation need to get a totally different one. What surprises me are all the first-time BC users whose doctors are putting them on a rather high-dose pill (not technically high dose, but it is the highest you can be under the "Low Dose" heading). I would think their doctors would've put them on something very very low and go from there.
Anyways, I was on BC pills for 8 years before we decided to start a family. However, ever since having my first child 4 years ago, I couldn't find a pill that could control my period. It seemed that when I was off the pill, I was fine, but as soon as I started a pill I would bleed 3 weeks out of 4. It was awful--plus insurance wouldn't pay for other methods besides permanent BC methods. I went through at least three different types of pills with no luck. Then we decided to have our second child...so off the pill and my periods were normal and regular up until I conceived. After my second child was born and I was done breast-feeding, my doctor put me on a pill (loestrin, I think?) and back to the same thing...3 weeks of heavy bleeding out of 4 and it made not only me, but my husband, crabby. I tried another pill, then finally got very firm and specific with the nurses and my doctor...they needed to put me on something completely different than the other formulations I'd been on and/or a higher dosage.
First month on Femcon FE and only 1 day of light spotting; lighter-than-normal period (thank goodness!); but I did have some weird abdominal pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen. Thankfully that pain went away after eating, particularly high-fiber meals or large meals. Since I had a stomach bug the week before I started the pills, I didn't think too much of it; figured the stomach virus had moved south and was just irritating my gut. It went away by the time I had my period...but it started again after 5 days on my next pill pack, though the pain is considerably less than last month. However, after seeing someone else's comment regarding estrogen's affect on the gallbladder (and that's about where my pain was), I'm going to at least talk to my doctor on Monday.
I have had no other side effects other than the abdominal pain and very very slight breast tenderness (although after pregnancy and breast-feeding, the breast tenderness is barely noticeable in comparison). So I'd like to stay on this as long as I'm not developing any gallstones, etc.

I have been on Femcon Fe for only 2 1/2 weeks. When I started the third week which is a week before the brown pills I got my period. I understand that I need to give the BC time but the way this pill is headed I don't like. Its my first type of birth control and I am upset my GYN put me on it. I hear such wonderful things about Orthro-Tri Cyclen. After reading all of the responses from different women I am nervous things will not get better. Aside from getting my period early which I understand is normal at first because my body is adjusting I also feel very fatigued and mentally slow. My breast are certainly tender as well and I also feel lightheaded. Ladies I am getting off the pill and getting on Ortho. I should have in the first place but the doc really pushed FEMCON-FE. I am beginning to feel that there is some hidden agenda. Maybe they get extra money in promoting one vs the other.

I have been on Femcon Fe for almost 8 months now, and while I don't love it, it's one of the best I have been on. I am severely anemic, so my doctor insisted that I go on birth control to lighten my periods. And while it has lightened them, they occur ever couple of days with just spotting... it sucks!!!! I also have no sex drive at all when I'm on my normal white pills, during the day's that I take the brown pills, I want to have sex but I'm on my period! It's wonderful... NOT! I thought that I was just having problems with my boyfriend of two years, until I read this, so thanks for at least making me feel better. I was told to come back in another 2 months if i still don't start a cycle. Has anyone else lost or missed periods due to this pill? I just had a baby in January, but up until i took this pill, my periods were fine, even on the days i used to have them before getting pregnant? Any tips, or ideas?? I have also been throwing up and having sharp, not sore but, sharp stabbing pains in my left breast...which i told my doc about only to hear that it was related to not having a period!?!?!?!?!?! It's not as bad since I have been awake today but it's still there and I don't know if I should even take it today or not. Is anyone else dealing with this or is it just me?

This pill is the worst....I am on my second pack, and I keep on having light spotting and I keep on getting yeast infections. The infection will clear up when i start taking the brown pills and it will come back 2-3 days after I start taking the white pills again..I know birth control will give you more yeast infections, but this is ridiculous!!!!!!!...I am bloated and swollen..my breasts are very tender, and I cant seem to go to sleep!!!!!!!! Im going to ask the doctor for another pill. I was on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen for 7 years, and had to stop because my insurance stopped covering it. These pills are much cheaper, and the doctor said they were great. I AM GOING TO GET ANOTHER PILL!! THANK GOD FOR THIS WEBSITE!

To anyone who is thinking of taking this pill, read the experiences that I and others have had with it. Because of it, I haven't been able to function in my life and I am behind in everything. I'd recommend other pills besides this one and Loestrin. Yasmin, when I was taking it, was really good.

After being on Yasmin for 3 months, I couldn't handle my side affects anymore. My doctor switched me to Femcon FE and when I looked it up online I almost didn't start taking it because of all the negative things I've heard. It's only been 3 weeks so I my opinion might not hold much weight, but I feel like myself so far on this pill. With Yasmin, I was constantly moody, and my sex drive went from extremely high before to practically nothing. Once I switched to Femcon FE I have lost the mood swings completely- I actually feel better than my normal self. Also, I didn't think I'd like/need the option to chew the tablets but now I'd actually rather. The mint flavor tastes really good. Just don't try chewing the inactive pills! They are gross! I do notice my body is a little sore sometimes and I have some uncomfortable cramps-- but it is only my 3rd week on the pill. No breakthrough bleeding.. and the best thing is--- my sex drive is back, and moods are gone--- all of which my boyfriend really appreciates!

I've been on Femcom Fe for 2 months now. The 1st month I experienced headaches and seem like I was depressed. I would start crying for no reason at all. I got really emotionally over little things. Then on my 2nd month I experienced an early period that lasted 5 days (2weeks b4 the nonactive pills). I continued to take the pills and while on my non active pills i didn't really get my period it was more like a brownish color. Tomorrow I will be on my 3rd pack Hopefully everything goes well. I guess it need to work with my body. BTW the headaches stopped after the 2nd pack. Just worried about my period coming early again. If it happens again I will def. be changing pills.

My doctor has asked me to go on the pill for years. I'm married, and not really interested in it to prevent pregnancy-I can use condoms. I am simply on it for medical reasons since I have heavy periods with cramping, constantly get ovarian cysts, and I'm anemic. I am trying to hang in there, but I've had my period for two weeks straight now and this is my third week of pills. I take it at 7pm, but every morning I get up with horrible stomach pain regardless of what I eat or if I eat even anything. I know it has to be this pill. I really don't want to stop this one just to start another pill with another list of side effects. Any advice to when the abdominal pain will go away?

I'm on my first month of Femcon ... started the pills on my first day of my period, got through one week and now I've got my period again. Not spotting ... a full, heavy period. I've never encountered this with any other pill before, not when I began them or after continued use (Yasmin, OrthoCyclene).

Oh thank god - I thought I was the only one! I'm on my 4th month of Femcon and am about to throw it in the garbage mid-pack. I bled the entire first month I was on it and now I barely get a period between packs - never mind the breakthrough bleeding that happens consistently in week 2 and 3 of the active pills. . .so annoying. But the worst part is the mood swings - I feel like I'm becoming a crazy person. I have a horrible temper and am normally quite mellow. I can't wait to feel like myself again (and I'm sure my husband and kids feel the same)

I have been on Femcon for just about 1 year and have had relatively few symptoms throughout this time. I occasionally get severe headaches and mild nausea but the last 2 months, I have not gotten my period when i was supposed to and i am concerned. My last active pill falls on a Sunday and I normally get my period the following Wednesday (2-3 days later). Last month I did not get my period at all. I took 3 home pregnancy tests because, naturally, I freaked out thinking that I was pregnant, and I went to see my gyn who also confirmed that I was not pregnant. I started a new pack of pills on time hoping that I would get my period this month and that last month was just a fluke but alas... still no period! I plan on taking another pregnancy test later today to confirm that I am not pregnant because not only am i very diligent about taking my pill on time each day, but my boyfriend and I religiously use condoms as a backup, despite my being on the pill. Has anyone else had an experience similar to this??

I've been on Femcon for the last 8 months and in the beginning it was fine, but these last 2 months have become a complete nightmare for me. I've gone into a serious depression. I'm completely bipolar and feel anxious most days. I'll start crying over nothing, and feel frustrated by my life, which let me tell you there is nothing to complain about. I feel tired a lot of the time, and can't get out of bed some times. I'll go to the gym and feel good while I'm working out but when I'm done i feel blah and unhappy. I missed my period one month and was freaking out that I might have been pregnant...it's making me insane because I'm usually so happy go lucky.....it's a relief that I'm not really crazy!

I thought something was strange with this pill! In the past I was on Orthro-Tri Cyclen low, then I stopped taking the pill for about a year. I decided to talk to my OB-GYN about going back on and he gave me Femcon Fe. At first I laughed about the pills being chewable and told him I don't need this. I asked for my old brand back, and he insisted these were better. Think again Doc! I have never had spotting problems with my period, I'm now on the third month of Femcon and my periods have not regulated at all!!! It's so annoying, I basically have my period 24/7, even though it's very light. Also, today made my decision to stop Femcon a no brainier. I haven't had a migraine in over a year and 1/2...today I got one. Femcon is now in the trash!

I have been taking femcon fe for about a month. A week before i was supposed to start taking my brown inactive pills, i passed out and had what they call convulsive syncope. I had an EEG and MRI done to rule out a seizure. Both came back normal. I have experienced anxiety, passing out, muscle twitching, nausea, headaches, a bad taste in my mouth, low sex drive, dizziness, stomach pains, fear and fatigue. I did not have any of these side effects before I started taking Femcon FE. I am going to continue taking another month of this pill to see if the side effects are still there. I just wanted to let everyone know what i have experienced in case someone else has had the same thing happen to them.

I am on Femcon right now and today is my fist day of my brown pills. I have been nauseous for the past three weeks consistently. The hot flashes during the night started a few days ago and culminated in sleepless night filled with waves of emotional surges such as fear, sadness, and of course anxiety. My mouth has been dry for the past couple weeks. I have not gained or lost any weight, but I am also quite careful of what I eat. I have been spotting for the entire month. I would say my energy levels have also decreased and I have been more irritable in general. I will no longer taking Femcon and feel that I have been given a medication that caused my moderate to great difficultly. I am almost tempted to head up a class action law suit, as I have lost sleep, missed work, and struggled with too many issues to just forget about this. If anyone else is interested, please keep posting. I read the Femcon website and I do NOT see any of these side effect listed anywhere. Did I miss something?

my doctor prescribed and recommended femcon for me and I lasted only five days on this pill. yes the enclosed instructions do warn of all the side effects but I had no idea how bad and how fast this pill would affect my body versus the past pills i have been on including loestrin 24 and estrostep. I have been waking up in the middle of night having hot flashes and being completely drenched in sweat which i have never experienced before, nausea all day, loss of appetite, shortness of breath, and complete exhaustion in just five days of this pill! my body is completely screwed up now i started my pack on the first day of my period and now its been two weeks and im still spotting, this scares me to death that a pill can affect my body this way, im seriously considering quitting the pill completely...does anybody ever wonder what these pills are artificially doing to your body, there is nothing natural about it!

Well...I guess I'm not crazy. My doctor assured me this pill was great...I'm finding that not to be the case! I was put on Femcon FE following the birth of my second child via c-section. Since starting the pill I have experienced headaches, depression and MAJOR WEIGHT GAIN. Prior to the pill I was about 3lbs. away from my pre-pregnancy weight. After 6 weeks on the pill I have gained over 12lbs. It makes no sense. I am monitoring my caloric intake which is around 1500-1700 calories per day. I attend a tough "boot camp" style workout 4 days a weeks. How can I be gaining weight? I'm considering just going off birth control all together. I'm 39 and our family is complete. I just can't tolerate this much longer.

I am now on my second week of the fourth month of pills, and I feel so depressed. I am constantly crying. I feel lonley and sad at all times and very overwelmed. Ive had two panic attacks in the past month, Im always feeling very anxious. Im starting to have really bad trust issues with my boyfriend, something thats never occurred before.

I have been on Femcon for one month and just started the second month. I have experienced many of the side effects that are mentioned in this post, but one other I have it a severe pain in my right breast. It is almost like a burning sensation when I move a certain way. I have been to the Dr. and tested and assured it was nothing but hormonal. The only change is the Femcon. Has anyone else experienced this? I am stopping Femcon tonight and hopefully I will finally get some sleep!!!!

Oh my word...thank GOD for this site which helped me figure out why I have been so sick. Was not even on Femcon for a month. I couldn't even finish a week!! The very first day that I took it I was soooo sick. I felt so sick to my stomach and then eventually just started vomiting. I didn't know whether or not to contribute it to the slight hangover I had or the Femcon. But, as the next few days went by, I knew it was the pill. I started reading what all of you ladies were posting and I was convinced. I was so tired and dizzy and felt like I was going to vomit all day long! So, needless to say, I had a pack of my old BCP and continued where I was in my pack with those and THREW THE FEMCON OUT!!! I have been on several pills due to irregular periods and such and I have NEVER felt the side effects I felt from Femcon! Now, I am back to my normal self.

Thank god I found this place, I thought I was alone!
I've been on Femcon for over a year and my side effects were initially mild but have grown progressively worse. I've experienced the constant fatigue, sleep issues, daily headaches and ESPECIALLY the MOOD SWINGS. The mood swings are the worst part, I feel as though I've lost total control of my emotional self.
I began to suspect the pills were messing with my head a few weeks ago when I looked back on what a complete emotional wreck I've been the last 6 months. Like others have posted...I now believe this pill made me a different person. I almost lost my boyfriend because of it (I broke up with him!) but we worked it out, and I've decided I am no longer taking this pill. I'll have to find another way to control my periods. This is not worth it.

I have just finished my second month of Femcon...not only have I had consistent spotting/bleeding that makes it feel like my period is lasting two weeks instead of the usual 3-4 days I'm used to...I also passed out within half an hour of taking the last pill my first month (passed out twice back to back) and though I've never passed out before, I got a full medical exam that said I'm perfectly healthy and just assumed I was exhausted or something, well this morning I took the last pill of my second month of pills and again saw black and had to go lay down...this seems too much of a coincidence to ignore, I will not be taking this pill anymore, I've seen nothing good come of it!

I've had Fibromyalgia for a long time. The #1 thing, is to have a positive attitude. Get info. about this disease. Get moving. Start out slowly. Do what you are able to do, nothing more and nothing less. I know its hard to keep moving. But if u dont, ur stuck with no life. I've been down this road too. Get some physical therapy. I have found, for me, that pool therapy is the best. I dont have as much gravity to deal with in a swimming pool. The water seems to hold u up. Get involved in som...

I don't know when it had a falling out, but all I can say is the course of action to remedy this disease is CRAZY. Taking meds that have more side effects and the restrictions on my daily life, because of the meds, no driving, no salt, no sugar, and little fat in my diet, very little sun. Bathing in skin moisturizer, moodiness, mental confusion, can't work, but expected to continue cooking for family, and cleaning. Which I guess ...

I found this website today and couldn't believe my eyes. Over the last month my daughter has been hospitalized twice, seen her OB, a gasteronintologist, had a CAT scan, vagina ultrasound, full blood work up and colonoscopy. No one found anything wrong with her. I never thought anything about the new pill she had been put on last month to better regulate her cycles. She has had severe abdominal cramping, breakthrough bleeding which we were told was normal till she got used to the new pill, nausea but still feels hungry, migraines, dizziness, blurred vision, 20 pound weight gain, acne which she never had before, red bumps which we thought was an allergic reaction to something and extreme fatigue. She had been feeling a bit better the last two weeks and we figured maybe she had had a bout of the flu. I dropped her off at college last Saturday and crossed my fingers. She called me today to tell me that it was starting again. I asked about her cycle thinking it might be PMS and she said that she had just started a new pack of pills. I did some searching and here was this website. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I immediately called the college infirmary and told her to stop taking Femcom immediately. I have forwarded this website to her so she can see that she wasn't crazy afterall which was what all those doctors were starting to tell her. I wouldn't wish what my daughter went through this past month on anyone. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!!!!!
