My 12 year old daughter had the shot on Friday, with 4 other immunizations due to our pediatricians recommendation. Within 24 hours, she had severe head pain and vomiting and then falling asleep immediately. She woke up the next morning and was fine, then within 2 hours the same exact thing. After sleeping again for a few hours she got up and was fine until later in the evening when she felt nauseas and tired again. I took her to school this morning and within a few hours, the nurse called she has a headache and pain at the injection site. I'm taking her back to the doctor this afternoon to be evaluated. They said this is not normal but they don't think it's due to this vaccine. She was perfectly fine all last week and Friday when I took her in to get the shot. I'm hoping they are correct and she just has some flubug, but after reading these posts, I'm very worried.

I can't believe that after months of searching for an answer to my daughter's health problems I may have found it! My daughter was a healthy, active happy child until recently. She is 17 and started experiencing joint, bone and muscle pain and swelling, unexplained rashes, migraines, tingling in her hands and feet and was diagnosed with neurocardiogenic synchrony (heart rate and bp out of synch) shortly after her first shot (she was 14).
We have been to a rheumatologist for the joint pains, they did blood work and there is a marker for some sort of auto immune disorder, but nothing specific.
I never connected the dots to the shots. In January of this year she started having severe diarrhea, stomach and intestinal pains. She has no energy, the most basic activities wear her out. We ended up at a gastroenterologist looking for a diagnosis (they thought it was Crohn's or lupus). All the tests have come back negative, they said she had gastritis and blew us off. She is on medicine for the intestinal pain, a prescription for an antacid for gastritis and an anti-inflammatory for the joint and bone pain.
She was a straight "A" student up to January and has had to finish her junior year at home. It has been a very stressful experience for all of us.

My 13yr old niece has always been a healthy, active and straight A student. Then on 11/5/08 during a routine physical, she received her 1st dose of Gardasil. On 11/28/08 she started to complain that she felt weak and had a headache. Since it was 2 days after Thanksgiving we thought that she was tired from all the holiday activities. On 11/29/08 she had a headache and stayed in bed all day. She got up that afternoon & had 2 seizures. She was rushed to the ER.
As of today, March 8, 2009 she is still in the hospital in Intensive Care Unit. She has been in critical condition since. Within 2 days after her seizure, she lost the ability to eat, speak, walk and communicate in anyway. She is completely unresponsive. She is on the ventilator, she is basically in a coma. We do know she has an viral infection with a shadow on the left side of her brain. All of the testing that has been done all show negative for any illness or diseases.
We are still unsure if she will come out of this. This has been completely devastating to our family.
We have no answers from doctors. Even though we know in our hearts that this was a side effects from Gardasil. I don't know if they will ever fully admit it.
We are left to watch and wait. That is what the doctors tell us daily..

My 12 yr. old daughter had her first gardasil shot last summer and her 3rd in January. She has been complaining of headaches, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, confusion, as she put it 'she felt like an alien'. I just figured it was preteen/body change/that time of the month stuff and thought it would pass. She only complained of headaches a few times after the first shot, didn't even think of them being from the shot but then more after the 2nd shot, still didn't make a connection, and now it's an every day thing. This morning again the headache/nausea/stomach pain, crying from the pain and Tylenol isn't helping. I got her to go to school but after 2 hours had to go pick her up. She said it was worse. We will be back at the doctors for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. With the possibility of this being from the gardasil, I wish I had never gotten the shots. The not knowing, is this from the gardasil? will it pass? get worse? and what she is going through. No it's not worth it

I am 19 years old and have never had a health problem in my life. Of course the occasional cold or flu, but nothing serious, until I received my first Gardasil vaccination in August 2008. I was an active girl, running 5 miles a day and in the best shape of my life when I started getting dizzy and light-headed while I was running. At first I didn't think anything of it, perhaps I just didn't eat well enough that day, until it started happening day after day. When I went to my doctor as told her about these symptoms and asked about the possibility of an allergic reaction to Gardasil, she said, "No, absolutely not." So I didn't think about it anymore, and received my second dose in November. The week after I received my 2nd shot, I felt sicker than I have ever felt in my life. Extreme nausea, headache, dizziness, aching muscles, diarrhea, almost anything you can think of, I had it. After being reassured by my doctor that my prior symptoms were not from Gardasil, I didn't connect this week of suffering with it either, until I found this website. Now I wake up every day wondering if I am going to be able to get through my classes. I don't even remember what it feels like to be healthy anymore. I was scheduled to receive my third vaccination this week, but there is no way I am going to risk it. I beg of anyone who is thinking about getting the vaccine, or having their daughter receive the vaccine, please get as much research on it as you can. Gardasil has changed my life, and not for the better.

im 17. i started my gardasil shots back in October. a week or so after the shot i began to get frequent headaches that were more severe than any headache i have ever had. like others i also began to itch all over my arms and i developed a vaginal itch that my mother and i thought was a yeast infection. we treated it like a yeast infection and it went away. i then went for my second injection last month. after receiving the second injection the itch came back more severely. i am glad i found this site and that i am not the only one being hit with out of the norm side effects that the doctors give us. i also found another site that says that the gardasil shot can cause P.I.D.

My daughter is 14, 3 or so weeks after her 2nd shot she got a yeast infection that would not go away, she also go thrush at this time because the yeast in her body was so bad. She got her 3rd shot the in Sept 2008 and on Oct 26 th she got virus like symptoms with headache nausea dizziness tunnel vision that will not go away. She has had an MRI, CT scan, blood work and been to the hospital 3 different times for fluid due to the nausea. The neurologist says that it is a migraine that is not responding to medicine. but I wonder now if it could be due to the shot.

Since my daughter second gardasil shot she has become tired all the time, she passed out on November 10 and was taken to the doctor. She orderd an EKG, chest xray and blood work. They called me that night and said she has an irregular slow heart beat ( which she has never had before). We went to a heart specialist the next day, he did an echo cardiogram and said things looked fine. If she passed out again, for me to call him and he sent us on our way. Tonight, while she was walking at work, it happend again. We went to E.R. and basically were told to follow up with her doctors on Monday. She is supposed to get the third shot in December, now i am afraid for her to get it. Im wondering if her suddenly getting the slow irregular heart beat, and passing out, irregular period, and headache is connected to the Gardasil. She is 17 and a senior in High School, she was planning on going to college, but now she is afraid to be alone, drive, or do anything that typical teenagers do.

I am 23 and just completed my series of Gardasil. The first shot hurt right away but the pain subsided a few hours later and I had no other reaction. I had the same occurrence with the second shot. I just had the third shot 3 days ago. The day after I had it done I experienced significant pain in my arm, collarbone and shoulder, chest pain, chills, headache, fatigue, stomach cramps, and swelling in my arm. I could barely lift my arm to do anything. I had the same symptoms the 2nd day and today I am experiencing a low grade fever, muscle pain all over, extreme fatigue after plenty of sleep, headache, chest pain and heart burn, swollen glands and throat pain. I am pretty sure this is an effect of this vaccine. If I would have known sooner I would have not finished the series. I would advise anyone out there looking into this vaccine to NOT go through with it. I have an appt with my doctor tomorrow to discuss this.

On October 11, 2008 my 14 year old daughter began to complain of being dizzy, headache, faintness, nausea, vomiting and stated that her heart hurt each time she took a breath. This warranted her being admitted and transferred to a specialized children's hospital. They discovered an inexplicable enzyme (troponin) surrounding her heart muscle which only appears when someone is having a heart attack. All of her echo cardiograms were normal as well as her other blood levels. She was tested for all of the typical high school diseases as well as lupus, etc. She remained in the hospital until Thursday and is now exhibiting an irregular heartbeat pattern. After visiting with her pediatrician since her release, it is extremal possible that this is a side effect of the Gardisil shots that she had this past November - February.

My daughter had her first shot on Thursday three weeks ago. Starting that weekend she started with a headache, then nausea, vomiting, body aches and fever. This lasted for 5 days. Then followed by a severe headache for another 4 days. It also increased her period from 4 days to 9 that month. The doctors office who gave her the shot told me "that it wasn't from the vaccine", to make an appt. with a GYN ! I guess I need to be looking for another doctor !

i had the first shot in December 2006 and the next day i woke up with a headache, fever but not a high one, nausea, vomiting and cough body aches. we called the doctor to ask if it was related to gardasil, and she said it wasn't the vaccine but it was that i was getting sick already. but since that time I've been having nausea and vomiting and i've been missing a lot of school because of the vomiting. I've been seen by a doctor who specializes in the stomach and he thought i had acid reflex. and i got 3 different medication and it didn't help. i also had a ultra sound and endoscope biopsy. and the doctor said theirs nothing wrong. I still continue with nausea everyday and sometimes it gets worse and i start vomiting.

My daughter is 12 and got her first shot on May 23rd, 2008. The next day in the evening her face was severely red with a bad rash all over, looked like blisters and pimples. Since then she is achy, headache and nauseous. So I am assuming that is from the shot, there is no other reason to get such a bad rash.

I DON'T REMEMBER HAVING ANY PAINS FROM MY FIRST SHOT BUT IS THIS SECOND SHOT OF GARDASIL I HAVE HAD CHILLS, HEADACHE, FEVER, AND LOWER BACK PAINS AND AT FIRST I THOUGHT MAYBE I HAD THE FLU FROM THE CHILLS AND HEADACHE AND FEVER..BUT AFTER I TOOK MEDICINE I NOTICE THAT I STILL HAD THE BACK PAINS AND I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCES BACK PAINS LIKE THIS BEFORE SO I ASSUME IT'S FROM THE GARDASIL SHOT.

I have created a group on Yahoo to talk about the side effects of Gardasil. If you or a loved one has had the vaccine and has experienced side effects, please come and tell your story.

My 9 year old daughter got her first shot in Dec. 2008 and her second in Feb. and the last in June. We have have been to the doctor a lot of times due to headaches with the doctor's opinion being that it's "allergies". She is now on allergy shots with still no relief from the headaches. I listened to her pediatrician and got her the shots. I feel so bad now after reading all the problems others are having with this vaccine. She also has had a change in her attitude aggression, moodiness, cries often, and she says she's depressed. If anybody has any suggestions for us please let me know. I love my little girl and know I'm worried.
