My 9 year old daughter got her first shot in Dec. 2008 and her second in Feb. and the last in June. We have have been to the doctor a lot of times due to headaches with the doctor's opinion being that it's "allergies". She is now on allergy shots with still no relief from the headaches. I listened to her pediatrician and got her the shots. I feel so bad now after reading all the problems others are having with this vaccine. She also has had a change in her attitude aggression, moodiness, cries often, and she says she's depressed. If anybody has any suggestions for us please let me know. I love my little girl and know I'm worried.

My 17 year old daughter received her second vaccination on Mar 10 2009. Four days later she began having headaches and fatigue.Within 2 weeks she was having non-epileptic seizures, tremors, numbness and pain in all her extremities. She has been hospitalized twice with still no answers. She was a healthy energetic cheerleader before Gardasil now she can barely get out of the bed.Her hair is falling out in clumps and she has lost 40 lbs. This has been a nightmare.I was just trying to protect my daughter. Her senior year is now spent hospital home bound.

Warning: I do not know if this is related at all (or if there is anyway to know for sure). I accidentally saw a connection looking up conspiracy theories, and I can't seem to find any "real" information about it at all.
My daughter at 14 years of age had this shot. She didn't feel good after, but I thought "normal" vaccination reaction and haven't thought about it since. Feeling a bit faint, a fever, and such.
However, last September (a few months later) she was diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. It started with her heart racing, she looked pale (and sometimes even yellowish), tired all the time, her urine turned a dark color, and fainting. Not knowing anything about this I assumed that she was dehydrated, and had her drink lots of water. Until she started fainting, at which time I took her straight to our family doctor. (Another reason that I wasn't to worried is she actually had been to many doctors who didn't seem to think this was abnormal.)
She started on high doses of prednisone to keep her immune system depressed, and has now moved on to mercaptopurine (as the steroids made her suicidal.)
I plan on bringing this "possible" connection up to her hematologist and I will report back (she has an appointment on the 11th.). However, I think it is better to do a little scare here, and possibly help someone rather than take for granted that I am not sure... (So take this information with a grain of salt.)
Also note that this was sudden onset, they can find no cause, and we have no family history nor any of the other typical reasons (sometimes can be "medicine" induced.) 10 months later she is still testing positive on her combs test though.

My daughter had the Gardasil shots last year. The school nurse talked to these young girls and told them all the dangers of cancer. It is a scare tactic. Doctors tell you to get the shots as well...makes their offices LOTS of money...the insurance companies presently pay for the shots, and the are very expensive. My daughter passed out w/ the first shot. Never has passed out before. (Do not allow your daughter to drive herself to get this shot...for the adult women..have someone drive you if you choose to have this vaccination, although I would strongly recommend NOT.) My daughter, since she was vaccinated with Gardasil, has had multiple ear infections, warts, strep multiple times, flu-like symptoms multiple times...pretty much the immune system took a nose dive. She never missed school before...was exempt from school exams many times because she was never sick. However, after Gardasil, she has missed many days due to all the sicknesses she has experienced. It has been approx. a year and she hasn't been as sick lately. I am hoping the immune system will get back to what it was before the shots but I strongly recommend NOT getting this vaccination. If my daughter gets worse, I am tempted to contact a lawyer. We might should get a count on the women that have been negatively affected by this and go to D.C. This vaccine should have been researched more. Our daughters should NOT be guinea pigs!!

I want to share information with everyone regarding the filing of Vaccine Injury Compensation (VIC) claims. I realize that many of you have probably already initiated action, but, if not, you may want to consider doing so.
I have posted a couple of times before regarding my daughter's reaction to Gardasil. Here's a brief summary: At age 19, she had 2 shots (Sep & Oct 2007). For 9 weeks in late 2007, she suffered severe GI problems, along with many other incapacitating symptoms, but no seizures. She recovered from the constant GI problems but has continued to experience occasional flare-ups. (Prior to the shots, she had NO history of such problems.) She also began to experience debilitating problems during menstruation, and in Oct 2008 her annual pap test showed precancerous cells, as did a follow-up pap test in Feb 2009. (In Sep 2007, she had a normal pap test.) Her next GYN appt is in May.
In light of her continuing problems and the alarming information in the Jun 2008 Judicial Watch Report regarding (1) the 44.6% increased chance of developing precancerous lesions if certain (undetectable) conditions existed prior to vaccination; (2) the fact that Merck does not know if the Gardasil vaccines are carcinogenic; (3) the fact that it is unknown if Gardasil will have long-term effects on fertility; (4) the fact that the final report on Gardasil's safety is not due until late 2009; and (5) etc., etc., etc., we have decided to file a VIC claim. She is still on our insurance bc she is 20 and a full-time college student, however, her future insurability once she becomes independent is a concern.
Information on filing claims is at www.hrsa.gov/vaccinecompensation. I called the Clerk of US Court of Federal Claims at 202-357-6400 and within minutes he e-mailed me a list of attorneys who specialize in VIC claims. I called a nearby attorney, and he returned my call in less than a day and provided very helpful information. Generally speaking, claims must be filed within 3 years after the first symptom of vaccine injury and injury must last more than 6 months, or claims must be filed within 2 years of vaccine-related deaths. (This is not intended to serve as governing guideline; please refer to the website for complete information.) So, in my daughter's case, the 3 years will be up in Oct 2010. The attorney advised that we need to get started now to collect all the medical records and allow at least 6-8 months for review and processing (after medical records are obtained). The up-front cost is minimal ($250 to file, but assistance is available in cases of financial hardship, some doctors/hospitals may charge for records reproduction, but that's about it, as it was explained to me.)
I know that many of you are still trying to get your daughters through their Gardasil ordeals and may not have a lot of time to devote to this, but I wanted to alert you to the time limitations. Unfortunately, none of us know what complications our daughters will experience in the future from Gardasil, so it's something we should all consider.
Good luck to everyone. I pray daily for the thousands of girls who have been injured by Gardasil.

My 13 year old daughter had her third shot on 02/16/09. Her first two shots did not seem to be a problem. She said her arm hurt really badly after the shot, and the next day she complained of leg pains she hadn't had before. Within a few days, she had a high fever with body aches like the flu, except it wasn't the flu. She felt better, but a week later she still had a low grade fever. She was tested and had strep throat, and was treated with anti-biotics. A week later she started having stomach cramps and diarrhea. It's now March 18th and she still has diarrhea. I think it's criminal this vaccination is being given to our young women. How on earth could anyone think "possibly" preventing HPV and/or cervical cancer is worth the risk of what my daughter and so many others are having to go through?

I am 19 years old and have never had a health problem in my life. Of course the occasional cold or flu, but nothing serious, until I received my first Gardasil vaccination in August 2008. I was an active girl, running 5 miles a day and in the best shape of my life when I started getting dizzy and light-headed while I was running. At first I didn't think anything of it, perhaps I just didn't eat well enough that day, until it started happening day after day. When I went to my doctor as told her about these symptoms and asked about the possibility of an allergic reaction to Gardasil, she said, "No, absolutely not." So I didn't think about it anymore, and received my second dose in November. The week after I received my 2nd shot, I felt sicker than I have ever felt in my life. Extreme nausea, headache, dizziness, aching muscles, diarrhea, almost anything you can think of, I had it. After being reassured by my doctor that my prior symptoms were not from Gardasil, I didn't connect this week of suffering with it either, until I found this website. Now I wake up every day wondering if I am going to be able to get through my classes. I don't even remember what it feels like to be healthy anymore. I was scheduled to receive my third vaccination this week, but there is no way I am going to risk it. I beg of anyone who is thinking about getting the vaccine, or having their daughter receive the vaccine, please get as much research on it as you can. Gardasil has changed my life, and not for the better.

My daughter received the vaccination when she was 17. She also had the meningitis and hep vaccinations with the 1st and 3rd doses. (I have since learned that multi-vaccinating is not recommended.) She developed pneumonia between the 1st and 2nd doses (could have been related or not) and then when she started school in the fall of '07, she continued to struggle with colds, etc. This could, obviously, be all college-related and just how it is in college. However, last week she told me that she got her period AGAIN - after only another two weeks. That was the 2nd month of periods every two weeks. She is also sick again (She was sent to the hospital with flu-like symptoms at Christmas-time). I started researching auto-immune disorders and found that her illnesses could be related to Gardasil. She was pretty healthy until she was vaccinated. She also complained last year of her hair falling out, but she has a thick head of hair and I told her to take her vitamins. Now I'm really concerned that the Gardasil could be causing some serious problems after reading all the posts. She has an appt. next week with an OB/GYN. Sounds like so many have had similar problems. I am so upset with myself for having thought the vaccine was a good idea. Please pass the word to your friends that this vaccine has not been fully tested. I don't believe it's safe.

I am 20 years old and my sister is 17 years old. My sister received her first shot about a month and a half before I received mine. Her arm was sore for a few weeks. After a few weeks have passed she began to itch all over her body, and began to have blotches all over (the worst spot was her ankles and feet-they looked swollen). She went to the doctor and he said that he did not think it was from the gardasil shot, but could be irritated and dry skin. So, not thinking it would happen to me as well, I received my shot. Everything seemed fine, no pain at all. But then About a month later ( a week ago ) I woke up to itching ALL over(extremely bad on my stomach & arms). I tried using an anti-itch lotion and took medicine to attempt the itching and redness to go away and keep washing myself , but it did not really do anything. When I woke up the next day, it was mostly gone and the doctor said he did not think it was from the shot either. I just found it to be quite a coincidence that my sister AND i both received itchy-blotchiness around the same time period after the shot. But, after my sister received her second shot she was perfectly fine, with the exception of a soar arm where the shot was taken place. I did not go for my second one yet, but I hope everything turns out okay! If anyone else received any type of blotches or itchiness please let me know, we are very curious to see if its happened to anyone else too.

I've never fainted had problems with shots previously and was extremely calm while getting it. I felt very light headed, dizzy, my hands were shaking and i was very hard of hearing. I'm not sure if i should continue getting the next two shots

My daughter is 11 years old. In Nov 08 she received her first Gardasil shot, she did okay at first just some very mild tenderness at the injection site. Just two days ago, she was just lounging around the house and a substantial chunk of her hair fell out! Of course she was devastated and I immediately called her pediatrician. The on call doctor did not seem concerned and didn't' provide any useful information so I took to the internet. I found photos of Alopecia Areata that looked EXACTLY like the bald spot on my daughters head, same shape and size. I searched for a couple days and racked my brain trying to figure out what caused this to happen to a healthy, athletic 11 year old, then I found this website. Although none of the other sites even mention hair loss as a side effect to Gardasil, I now realize that it has occurred in many. I am connived it was the Gardasil that caused this.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GET VACCINATED:
This is from Merck's website:
Serious Adverse Reactions in the Entire Study Population
A total of 237 subjects out of 25,274 total subjects (9- through 45-year-old girls and women; and 9-through 15-year-old boys) who received both GARDASIL (N = 13,686) and AAHS control (N = 11,004) or saline placebo (N = 584) reported a serious systemic adverse reaction following any vaccination visit during the clinical trials for GARDASIL.
Out of the entire study population (25,274 subjects), only 0.05% of the reported serious systemic adverse reactions were judged to be vaccine related by the study investigator. The most frequently reported serious systemic adverse reactions for GARDASIL compared to AAHS control or saline placebo and regardless of causality were:
Headache ,
Gastroenteritis ,
Appendicitis ,
Pelvic inflammatory disease ,
Urinary tract infection ,
Pneumonia ,
Pyelonephritis ,
Pulmonary embolism .
One case (0.007% GARDASIL: 0.0% AAHS Control or Saline Placebo) of bronchospasm; and
2 cases (0.02% GARDASIL: 0.0% AAHS Control or Saline Placebo) of asthma were reported as serious systemic adverse reactions that occurred following any vaccination visit.
In addition, there was 1 subject in the clinical trials, in the group that received GARDASIL, who reported two injection-site serious adverse reactions (injection-site pain and injection-site joint movement
impairment).
Systemic Autoimmune Disorders in Girls and Women 9 Through 26 Years of Age
In the clinical studies, 9- through 26-year-old girls and women were evaluated for new medical conditions that occurred over the course of follow-up. New medical conditions potentially indicative of a systemic autoimmune disorder seen in the group that received GARDASIL...includes all subjects who received at least one dose of GARDASIL.
Of the 10,706 who received Gardasil:
120 developed Arthralgia/Arthritis/Arthropathy
4 developed Autoimmune Thyroiditis
10 Coeliac Disease
2 Diabetes Mellitus Insulin-dependent
2 Erythema Nodosum
27 Hyperthyroidism***
35 Hypothyroidism†
7 Inflammatory Bowel Disease‡
2 Multiple Sclerosis
2 Nephritis¶
2 Optic Neuritis
4 Pigmentation Disorder§
13 Psoriasis#
3 Raynaud's Phenomenon
6 Rheumatoid Arthritis††
2 Scleroderma/Morphea
1 Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
1 Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
3 Uveitis
6.2 Post-Marketing Experience
The following adverse events have been spontaneously reported during post-approval use of GARDASIL. Because these events were reported voluntarily from a population of uncertain size, it is not possible to reliably estimate their frequency or to establish a causal relationship to vaccine exposure.
Blood and lymphatic system disorders: Autoimmune hemolytic anemia, lymphadenopathy.
Gastrointestinal disorders: Nausea, pancreatitis, vomiting.
General disorders and administration site conditions: Asthenia, death, fatigue, malaise.
Immune system disorders: Autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylactic/anaphylactoid reactions, bronchospasm, and urticaria.
Musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders: Arthralgia, myalgia.
Nervous system disorders: Dizziness, Guillain-Barré syndrome, headache, motor neuron disease, paralysis, seizures, syncope sometimes resulting in falling with injury, transverse myelitis.
Vascular Disorders: Deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolus.
Pediatric Use
Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients below 9 years of age nor in pediatric males of any age.

EVERYONE PLEASE READ!!!! GARDASIL HAS DESTROYED MY LIFE! I am 24 years old and a year and a half ago I was graduating college and planning to be a professional dancer and go to law school...I was perfectly healthy and energetic! In February of 2007 I received my first Gardasil shot. After a few days I started to feel as though I had a Urinary Tract Infection and was also feeling more tired than usual. The doctor gave me an antibiotic and sent me on my way.
In May of 2007 I received my second Gardasil shot and yet again, a few days later I started to feel like I was getting another Urinary Tract Infection. I went to the doctor numerous times between the second and third shot...all for bladder and urinary tract pain. For months I was on different antibiotics and they were not making the pain go away. After visiting a number of urologists, I found out that the urine cultures had all been coming back negative - showing no sign of an infection, so the antibiotics were pointless. All tests that I had run, both blood and urine came back normal. It is not standard procedure for a doctor to call you if your test results come back normal, but there was clearly something wrong, so I searched for a urologist who would believe me that I wasn't making up the pain I was in.
In August 2007, I had a cystoscopy done (they took a scope and went into the bladder to look in the bladder wall) and they concluded that I have an incurable bladder disease called Interstitial Cystitis. This is a condition where there becomes a defect in the bladder wall causing it not to have the protective mucus layer inside of it. The pictures of inside my bladder show red, raw skin, obviously showing the severity of my case of it.
There is no evidence as to what causes Interstitial Cystitis, and there is no proven successful way of treating it. The initial signs are exactly the same as a Urinary Tract Infection (painful bladder spasms, painful urination, body aches and back pain). The main difference is the fact that it is not an infection. There are thousands of people with Interstitial Cystitis who are misdiagnosed as having chronic Urinary Tract Infections.
I received my third Gardasil shot in October of 2007 and that is when EVERYTHING fell apart. The bladder pain became constant and there has not been one minute in a day since that shot I have not been in unbearable pain. This is when everything else in my body began to crash down as well. The other health problems and side effects from the Gardasil that I am having are constant sore throat, vicious migraines, vision changes, back pain, body aches, joint pain, sinus problems, vomiting, constipation, dizziness...I could keep going on forever!
I have tried all of the conventional treatment for Interstitial Cystitis and have gotten NO relief from the pain and other side effects. The doctors didn't know what to do, so they put me on OxyContin and a diet consisting of no acidic foods. That has now posed its own set of problems seeing as now my body is addicted to the narcotic, and I have gone from 5'6'' 125lbs to 100lbs over the course of a year due to the diet. I am extremely malnourished and have to take B12 vitamin shots once a week due to the severe anemia. I am 24 years old, and feel like I am 100. I can not live a normal life, I am going to lose my job from numerous absences, I lost my fiancé and am not able to have an intimate relationship anymore, I am extremely depressed, I have to have my family clean my apartment because I am too sick to do it, I can not do social activities because I am too tired and in pain. This vaccine has DESTROYED my life! I am desperately seeking out someone else who is having bladder problems due to the Gardasil so that I can contact an attorney. This needs to be OFF the market a soon as possible so that it does not run any other lives! Gardasil has caused some deaths, but in my mind, I'd rather die than live with the pain I am having. I did notice there are some posts regarding girls getting urinary tract infections... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have your urine cultured because there is a good chance it may be Interstitial Cystitis!
I am desperately looking for someone who is having some of these symptoms so that I can go to a lawyer and get something going before things like this happen: Numerous states are pushing to make it mandatory that girls receive the vaccine before they enter the 6th grade. We can not let this happen! We all need to stick together and somehow fight this and get out lives back!
Let me know if you are IN - and also what you thought about my post!
You can email me at ******
Bless All of You!

I have had all three of my Gardasil shots, starting in September 2007, November 2007 and then February 2008. I felt slightly ill after each one, came down with what felt like the flu but went away after a couple of days. My periods changed completely however. I'm 24 and have regular, monthly menstruation since I was 10, without a change in flow or length of the period. Since taking the vaccination, I had terrible cramps, delayed periods, and very heavy flow for the six months and a few months after that. Since then, my period has become very light and irregular and I have started growing abnormally dark facial hair as well increased hair growth overall (hirsutism). My skin has become very thin and breaks and bruises easily, and I have developed adult acne which I never had as a teenager. I don't have PCOS so I'm not sure if the two are linked, but nothing else has changed in my lifestyle over the past year so please do let me know if you have experienced anything similar.

My daughter is 15 and on Thursday June 5, 2008 she received her second shot of Gardasil. A couple of hours later she complained of difficulty breathing. I took her to the ER where the doctors made me feel like I was crazy to think it was a reaction to the Gardasil shot. They said she might have asthma. They gave her a Nebulizer treatment that didn't help and sent her home with a prescription for Albuterol which too did not help. I took her in to see her Primary care doctor who said the same thing, it could not be the shot and diagnosed her with Bronchitis. She has no signs of bronchitis, no wheezing, cough or phlem. I then took her to see an allergist who again said the same thing, not the shot. He to said she may have bronchitis. They have given her 4 types of medication and none of them have helped. Today is day 10 and she continues to have difficulty breathing. Is there anyone else out there with these same symptoms?? If so I would really appreciate and advise you can give..

Hi. I am so sorry to read your story. My 17 year old daughter’s story is similar. She had her second Gardasil vaccination during the end of January 2008. During the month of February and March, she had abdominal problems. Beginning on March 30th, she had seizures. She had a CT of the head, MRI of the brain, EEG, 24 hour EEG and as I type this note, she are in the epilepsy center at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and the doctor just came in to tell me that every test is coming back normal and that my daughter is having “stress” seizures. My daughter has no more stress than any other 17 year old girl does.
I related to the doctor my thoughts pertaining to Gardasil and I feel as though he has dismissed my idea.
I have found some many stories similar to yours and my daughter’s but I believe because Gardasil is so new, nothing is coming out yet about it.
If anyone has any other information, please advise!! We are desperate here in Philadelphia.

With my first Gardasil vaccination I had a good deal of pain, comparative to a Tetnus shot. It lasted almost a few weeks before the area wasn't sore. The second round hurt much less but I also had a fever with aches, pains and chills. This lasted a day or so. The third shot was sore for a few days and left a good size lump in my arm around the injection site for a few weeks.

I received the vaccination Tuesday at 9:30 am, and i was nausea with a headache all day yesterday. Now it is 7:30pm on Wednesday and I still feel nausea, still have a headache and on top of that I am fatigued. I have taken 2 excedrin, and 6 motrin since the headache's began. My body is always extremely receptive to headache medicine, but not this time. I asked the nurse if that was a common side effect, and her response was "No, it's mind over matter." I laughed and then she said "Did you eat breakfast?" I said "I had a granola bar." Her response was, "Aw good you'll be fine; I haven't had the shot since my age exceeds the recommended age range, but you'll be just fine." I am really nervous :( :( They say what the vaccination protects you from surpasses any of the side effects by far, but I don't know my whole body feels out of balance after just one dose...I appointments for 2 more...

After receiving my second vaccination I discovered pimples on my scalp, followed by hair loss. This condition is still reoccurring eight months later. Although doctors say this has nothing to do with Gardasil, it happened almost immediately after the second injection.

a 14 year old British school girl died on Monday after a vaccination, not of
Gardasil but of Cervarix, it's me-too competition.
now that these drug companies have seen how lucrative it is to scare parents into inoculating their children, they'll all come out with their version of the vaccine, which means there will be more commercials and a harder sell as they compete for business.
just opt out, people
