Guaifenex and light headed

My husband and I have both been prescribe Gauifen/P-EPHED for his congestion and for my ear tubes.
We both experience major drainage at first. It really cleared everything up.
We did however feel the side effects of headaches,light headed ness, rapid heart beats, and we could not sleep at all!
We had to cut the pills in half. The doctors should give people half the dosage if you ask me.
And I read a post about a doctor prescribing this for there child... I would never give this stuff to a kid!

I'm taking 600mg 2x/day Guaifenex for fluid behind eardrum. I've been on it for about 2 weeks. I was having a lot of trouble sleeping, so I started taking the second pill at noon. I am sleeping better at nite, however I am still feeling light-headedness all day. I went off the drug for a day and still had the light-headedness. My ears feel better, but I will probably call the Dr. because I am concerned about the light-headed feeling.

When I took the med I felt high. A little light headed, As time went on I began speeding and my heart started beating very fast. Also I started seeing everything around me like I was have a light acid trip. The air kind of sparkeled, I also got hot and I kept waking up every 1 and 1/2.
I had to take a bit of Zanex to slow my heart down. I took it to help a cough. I would rather cough.

Very light headed, felt like my body was too hot, and my skin was cold. that constant feeling of "I"ve got to sit down or I'm going to pass out" even when I already sitting down. head tingles.

2/29/03 complete loss of appetite, tingling in head and hands , nervousness, light headed

I took it and it made me stoned. I also became light headed and I could only sleep a half hour.
