Imuran side effects

I took Imuran for 3 weeks....150mg/day....started week one with only 50mgs/day, week 2 100mg and then in week 3 got up to the 150mg/day.

Then the aches and pains began....fevers on and off ....and then finally high fevers and rigors ultimately ended up in the hospital in Boston for 4 days.
All of the test pointed to Imuran side effects which caused the fevers etc.

I have been diagnosed with CIDP....and my neuro wanted to put me on a tad more aggressive treatment plan in addition to the IVIg treatment which I am on every 3 weeks, 5x/week. Infusions take almost 3 hors a day...40grams of Gammaguard daily for the 5 days.

Shortness of breath has continued to worsen as its built up in my system. Chest pain and back pain on my left side seem to be worsening as well. I started Imuran as opposed to using Prednisone which is much harsher on your internal organs, but I am hard pressed to think anything could be worse then what I feel now. I have not lost my appetite, but the fatigue is unbearable even after I've eaten.

I've been taking 100mg of Imuran (with Prednisone and Asacol) for just over a month and am experiencing severe headaches, hair loss, back/joint pain and nausea.

Expericing night sweats.
also heart burn, with pains in my chest as well as my back.
Loss of hair.
Trouble swallowing.
hot flashes.

Is there any evidence that Imuran causes hearing loss? I am 50 and taking 150mg of Imuran and am suddenly not hearing very well. Barbara

My name is denielle.. im 14 Years old I have had Crohns since i was 7 years old.. i am Currently taking Messacal and Imuran,I was On Prednisone and Asacal ... But the Asacal has been making me sick.. Um,i have Read up about imuran.. And I have Every Side effect.. Dizzy,Feel like i cant Breath,Sickness,heartburn,nightswets,So on so Forth... Has Anyone else Had this?

My daughter has experienced growing chest pain and shortness of breath (as the Imuran has built up in her system) despite the fact that her chest x-rays, EKG's and breathing tests were all normal. The Prednisone was originally blamed for this but she has been off it for over two months and the pain is worse than ever. We have stopped giving her the Imuran.

Menstrual period is very dark brown and blood flow is very light or no flow at all for the month.

My menstrual blood flow is very dark and light blood flow or no period at all i have notice since taking imuran.

Sweats 24/7 I've been on imuran for 2 months now, and the hot flashes have been going on that long too.

Just started taking Imuran and I have horrible headaches, dizziness and hair loss.

Are any of you losing hair with Imuran? I'm on 50 mg and my hair is falling out worse and not growing on my arms or legs. Previously I was losing hair with asacol and pentasa, and just quit prednisone.

Dizzyness, nausea, fever. Only been taking for less than a week.
