I've been on Jolessa for 3 cycles, and I have finally come to the filler pills, and for whatever reason I decided I didn't need to take them, and I'm done. My body just screamed no more.
The first two cycles were fine, it took some adjusting, but the third cycle I had constant bleeding for two weeks. Now I've become so depressed I feel as though I'm falling apart. I cannot describe the heaviness I feel, it's like losing your mind, and for sure I will not be starting the next cycle. Worse birth control ever.

I was thinking about switching from Seasonique, which I loved, to Jolessa due to the giant cost difference. Has anyone made this switch? Also, has anyone had spotting who has been on a birth control that lasted 91 days like Seasonique or Seasonale, after making the switch to Jolessa?

I've been on Seasonique for over a year and it has worked very well and I only get my period four times a year, without spotting, but it is too expensive for me to keep paying for out of pocket.

I have been on MANY birth control pills over 15 years, and this is the first one with NO breakthrough bleeding. I have always bled randomly through-out the month, or when I was an hour late taking the pill I would get a full week's period. With jolessa I could be a full 24 hours late and have no bleeding. After 15 years of not going more than two weeks without bleeding, 3 months with none is the best thing thats happened to me since this "womanhood" sh*t started. Two weeks before my period I get typical swollen sore breasts, acne, and extreme anger, depression and irritation that makes me not want to not live and my family and co-workers want to kill me- BUT better two weeks every three months than the normal one week out of every four weeks. Oh! and I am insanely hungry, I need almost twice the food I used to eat in order to not faint of hunger! ( minimal weight gain, but I can hardly afford all the food)

I am on my seconded pack (month 4) I have endo and thought it would be awesome to only have my period 4 times a year. To my dismay, I've been spotting for the past 2 months and counting. I had a full period about 3 weeks ago and had hoped it was ending and the spotting has continued! I don't want to give up this far. I am SO hopeful that it will stop, but I am really losing that hope. Also, I have cramping still (maybe from the endo) and feel like an emotional wreck!!! I do NOT want to go back to having my regular periods... they were really heavy and severely painful, but this is really getting old fast too! I am 34 and am thinking that maybe I should just go talk to the Dr. about having a hysterectomy. I don't have children and don't think I'll ever have any anyways. Im older and am not in a relationship, so maybe I should just take the plunge?! Help!

I have endometreosis and casuses me a lot of pain.I've been on all types of birth control Ortho- Evra, Ortho tricycline...My doctor put me on Jolessa about 1.5 years ago. During the first 10 months I was perfect it help me out a great deal with my endo. But during these last few months I have experienced headaches, severe mood swings, depression, blood pressure irregularities, cramping and on top of that hair loss. I'd much rather deal with the pain than go through all of this. Not sure of whats out there that will help me out?

I went to this web site because I want to help my wife. She's been on Jolessa for 8 weeks now. As of this week, her heart has been "fluttering" for lack of a better word. She went to the ER room and they said basically that nothing's wrong with her but she is experiencing premature ventricular contractions (PVC's) which are not dangerous (according to the doctors). She asked the doc's if she should stop taking Jolessa and of course they said,"no."

We're wondering if anyone else is experiencing this feeling with this junk? My wife is 38 years old, healthy, never had heart problems or disorders. As of the past few weeks though, she's been feeling down in the dumps, sluggish and has a slight mode change.

If anyone is experiencing a change in heart rhythm, since taking Jolessa, please post it here. Thank you.

I started taking Jolessa after having been off birth control for about 1.5 years. Previously I was on Mircette and didn't have any problems. Within a few days of starting Jolessa, I felt depressed and not myself. I felt like I was retaining water and felt 10 pounds heavier. I thought maybe my body had to get use to the hormones, but after 3 weeks of side effects, I couldn't take it anymore and went off it. Within a few days of stopping Jolessa, I felt like myself again. After reading many of these posts, I plan on trying ortho tri-cylcen lo, as it seems people have fewer side effects with that.

I have been on Jolessa for 3 months now. As of now I have been experiencing this "breakthrough bleeding" for a full 2 months now. Once every two weeks I have mild cramping and I have gained at least 10-15 lbs. Each time I call the doctor I am told to give it a little while longer and that if I am still bleeding by 4th month that we will have to do something else. Also I am told to take 3 Advils 3 times a day as well and eat a lot of food filled with iron and protein (for energy). I am tired all the time, headaches and unusually depressed. I cry at the drop of a hat too. I am not happy about this at all and all of this was to control the bad cramping and clotting of the regular 7-10 day periods I was having. Any suggestions out there? Each Birth Control Method I click on on this web page seems to have the similar side effects. Is there any relief from this?
