I've been taking Jolessa for two months now. My first pack was great no problems at all I actually lost weight from my previous pills. When I started taking my second pack and it came time for what would have been my 'normal' period if I was on a 28day pack, I started spotting. I thought well it will stop after this week. However it did not, I've been spotting for almost 4 weeks weeks now. It starts out red then dark brown to light brown. The first time I thought ohh it's ending, but no after the light brown it goes back to bright red. It's done this over and over. I called my doctor at week two who said make it through the 3rd pack and come back in. I just cannot take spotting for this long and I'm done. Any suggestion on other pills that work?

A friend of mine directed me to here. After reading all of the side effects I realized that a lot of what is going on with me is these bc pills. I knew that the cramping and bleeding was from the pills but I didn't realize that my spaciness and inability to focus has been the pills. I have been noticing at work that my employer tells me one thing and i do the opposite and I can't figure out why I am not on top of it like I usually am. My heart feels like it is beating faster and I find that I am anxious and always starving and having to eat a lot, which is not like me. Slight headaches too and slight muscle pain - can these all be from this pill?

I used to take Seasonale but my dr recommended this one because it is the generic brand that is way cheaper. But I never had the side effects from seasonal that I am having now. I just thought these side effects were just me but now I know it is the pill. I am definitely quitting these and get Seasonale again. This is crazy, these side effects!

I feel sorry for women who can't switch because they can't afford the more expensive one and they weigh the side effects against having horrible periods, moodiness...etc.It all depends on which side effects are worse, the pill or their monthly period.

We trust that our best interest is at heart, but it isn't. I can tell you one thing, if a man was the one who got pregnant, the pill would be perfected with very little side effects if any.

I love Jolessa! I haven't had any major side effects. I take pills continuously and just have light break throughs every now and then — much more manageable than my normal period! I haven't experienced weight gain, though my breasts are slightly larger than when I am off the pill, a pretty normal side effect of any pill. No mood swings and 100% less cramps than my normal cycle. Every woman is different, so this may or not be the pill for you!

I've been on Jolessa for 3 cycles, and I have finally come to the filler pills, and for whatever reason I decided I didn't need to take them, and I'm done. My body just screamed no more.
The first two cycles were fine, it took some adjusting, but the third cycle I had constant bleeding for two weeks. Now I've become so depressed I feel as though I'm falling apart. I cannot describe the heaviness I feel, it's like losing your mind, and for sure I will not be starting the next cycle. Worse birth control ever.

I am on my seconded pack (month 4) I have endo and thought it would be awesome to only have my period 4 times a year. To my dismay, I've been spotting for the past 2 months and counting. I had a full period about 3 weeks ago and had hoped it was ending and the spotting has continued! I don't want to give up this far. I am SO hopeful that it will stop, but I am really losing that hope. Also, I have cramping still (maybe from the endo) and feel like an emotional wreck!!! I do NOT want to go back to having my regular periods... they were really heavy and severely painful, but this is really getting old fast too! I am 34 and am thinking that maybe I should just go talk to the Dr. about having a hysterectomy. I don't have children and don't think I'll ever have any anyways. Im older and am not in a relationship, so maybe I should just take the plunge?! Help!

I have been experiencing the same symptoms and went to my doctor and she said it was normal also but asked me if it had an odor because that could mean an STD, which it doesn't have an odor and i don't have an std. I have been with the same guy for 2 years and we are both monogomis and have been only with each other sexually. But the brown discharge has been going on for about a week and a half. Im am very edgy and feel like Im in a constant state of PMS. I tried to get my doc to switch me to Yaz cause I have heard good things about that but they insisted I wait it out but this has not stopped and I do not want this brown discharge forever. Let me know how your change of pills worked out and if it made everything better. Thanks!

I went to this web site because I want to help my wife. She's been on Jolessa for 8 weeks now. As of this week, her heart has been "fluttering" for lack of a better word. She went to the ER room and they said basically that nothing's wrong with her but she is experiencing premature ventricular contractions (PVC's) which are not dangerous (according to the doctors). She asked the doc's if she should stop taking Jolessa and of course they said,"no."

We're wondering if anyone else is experiencing this feeling with this junk? My wife is 38 years old, healthy, never had heart problems or disorders. As of the past few weeks though, she's been feeling down in the dumps, sluggish and has a slight mode change.

If anyone is experiencing a change in heart rhythm, since taking Jolessa, please post it here. Thank you.

I am now finishing my first package of Jolessa. I'm taking the reminder pills as of now, but so far I haven't had any problems whatsoever with this product. I have tried several different forms of bc, such as the shot: that ballooned me and made me huge. When I took Othro (both types), they increased my migraines incredibly to where I was seeing a headache specialist who then pulled me off. I am very surprised to see that so many people are having so many issues with jolessa, especially seeing as how I always have some type of side effect from BC. So sorry everyone has had bad experiences with it.

My Dr. prescribed Seasonale, but pharmacy gave me generic Jolessa. I've been taking it for 1 1/2 months and have been bleeding since after the 1st week. I have mass amounts of constant brown discharge and clotting with daily breakthrough bleeding. I get headaches, cramping, bloating, light headed and dizzy episodes, and my mood has been edgy (maybe from a sexless marriage due to these pills, lol). I've been taking bc for 16 years and have never experienced these symptoms with any other pill I've taken.

Spoke with my doctor's office a few weeks ago and was told that the bleeding can be normal and don't be surprised if it lasts for 2 WHOLE CYCLES that is 6 months of bleeding and clotting! I know what is normal for my body and this is not it! I'm calling my doctor for the 2nd time today and will demand my prescription be changed to either the name brand Seasonale (which my ins will cover) or my previous pill.

Well I have been on Jolessa for a little more than a year now. When I started it it was ok then it got so much worse and well I stopped taking it because I got sick and couldn't keep it down in my stomach then when I started taking it again I had my period the whole 3 month cycle when I asked my doctor he said that it was ok because it wasn't a heavy flow but I still felt uncommon then my period finally stopped and I was left with a very weird discharge it was almost snot like. It was gooey and brown almost looked like the color of dried up blood if any one else has experienced this I would like to hear what you did to help it

Everything was fine for six weeks. During week seven I started spotting, it was very irregular. After going 2 more weeks with spotting and bleeding at times I called the doctor. The nurse I talked to said I could bleed like that all the way till the white pills. Well it has gotten worse and I don't know if I should stop taking it or not. I am in the middle of week 11.
