A representative of Schwarz Pharma USA told me that the FDA is "concerned about the condition of the raw product" that was being used. (i.e. pig livers?) SP said that they are searching for another source for the product. The person I talked to said that SP is committed to getting kutapressin back on the market, and has no plans to discontinue it.
I am forming a Kutapressin Users Group to keep everyone informed on this issue, and explore other options if necessary. You can reach me at:

Congressman Tom Allen (D Maine) is willing to contact Schwartz Pharma to seek the release of the formulary for Kutapressin, and make it available to compounding pharmacies.
Additionally, contact Senator Judd Gregg, R NH. Senator Gregg heads Health/education services com.
FYI: I heard that it was a stock solution problem, I also heard thta the FDA has pulled a number of glandualrs off the market. Please note-I cannot verify this information.

I've been using kutapressin for several years and have experienced no side effects, except for the nuisance of the injection (I use EMLA cream, so there is no pain with the injection).
