after 9 day's on this drug, I had a sever reaction and had to go to the hospital. I was swollen from head to toe, bright red from head to toe, pain in my left wrist, and stomach, big red welts on my legs and arms headaches. amonth latter my left wrist went out and I had to go in again, I was diagnoised with cysts on my wrist. And no doctor will treat me, because of this drug and I have no insurance! so here I am in pain all the time headaches anxiety constantly, sever moodswings, my fiance is always asking what the _ _ _ _! is wrong with me. And I feel like I am losing my mind! The big kicker is that I cut hair! which this makes it hard to do my job. Lots of pain at the end of the day. I no longer have any trust for doctor's.

I've been on Levaquin for 10 days for an ear infection. Today will be the 11th day. For the following reasons I'm not sure I should keep taking it. After about 4 days of taking it I started getting a sharp shooting pain going from my right ovary down my inner thigh to the knee. After a week of this it also goes to my lower right back and in my right side it's more like a muscle tightness than a pain.
Now my upper front thigh muscles and around my knees feel achey. Before I read these posts I thought my pain was due to a possible cysts on my ovary being this all started around 6 days before my period. I've never had any cysts or problems like that before or experienced this kind of pain on my period. I've also noticed that after I take the Levaquin the ovary pain gets a bit more intense. Can someone tell me is this the Levaquin or could I possibly have developed an ovarian cyst? Should I get off this medicine? I'm confused about weither it is really a cyst causing all this or the Levaquin. Thanks!

I took Levaquin for about 2 weeks December 2004 for ear/sinus infections. When the infection recurred in January, my doctor told me to double the dosage and take it for another week. 2 days into it, my achilles tendons started hurting badly enough that I couldn't walk. I got off the Levaquin but have had tendinitis for 6 months now. An MRI found that I have fluid filled cysts on the both tendons, and I need surgery. Don't take Levaquin unless you have no other choice.
