Levaquin and fatique

Took Levaquin for chronic prostatitis. After a a few weeks experienceds intense pain in feet, calves and thighs. General feeling of maliase, fatique and depression. Inability to sleep. Sense of taste has diminished though sense of smell has been heightened. Fingers and wrists aching on and off. Fealt extremely dizzy and nauseous for several days. Nausea has diminished, but the feet, calf and leg pain remain. Have called doctor and recommendation is to cease taking Levaquin and see if syptoms abate after a few days. In the mean time he told me not to do any physical exertion as muscles and tendons are weakened when side effect occurs. Prescribed mild OTC anti-inflammatory (Ibuprofen) and pain-killer (Tylenol) for a few dayswhile we wait to see the progression and/or abatement of symptoms.

In addition to joint pains and fatique, I have experienced an increase in acid reflux. I find that I have to supplement my prescription medication with OTC anti-acid medications. Likewise, my stomach seems a little upset in general.

very bad bladder spasms. blurry vision,dry itchy eyes, fatique,
bad dreams, bad taste in mouth,just generally really feeling bad an not myself......i will NEVER take this med again!!

I was prescribed Levaquin for a urinary tract infection. This is a chronic problem for me and I have always taken Cipro. After 1 day of taking my 7 day prescription, I felt very tired and weak and felt feveress (but no fever) and I was achy all over, especially my legs and feet. It is Christmas time and I blamed it on stress and fatique. I am not getting rested after 6 days and I was beginning to think I was seriously ill. I felt better after reading the side effect reports and I hope I will begin to feel better now that I have taken my last dose. I will never take this drug again.
