Been taking this for 18 years. No Doc could figure out what was wrong. I have too many allergies. Knee's ache, retain water, moods are way off, dry skin, hair loss, I am now taking armour. I feel fantastic and am losing weight. My skin is oily. TYG

I was diagnosed with having hypothyroidism, and after having FNAs done on the two nodules that were found during a screening of my thyroid - it turned out that I also have Hashimoto's Disease. I am currently on the lowest dosage of Levoxyl - and have been for about two months, and I have never felt so bad in my whole life. Yesterday I cried the entire day - for no reason. I have migraines several times a day. I get dizzy and have hot flashes and I feel so ditzy lately, forgetting the littlest things. It is a very frustrating way to live, being married with two small children. It is hard for me to explain this to anyone, and I unfortunately take some comfort in reading that I am not the only one living with this. I keep wondering if I will get better, not only for me, but for the sake of my family.

I have been on Levoxyl for about 2 months and about a week before my menstrual cycle, my breasts hurt worse than ever. I've never had pain in my breast before. The pain varies from stabbing pains to just a constant ache. It is worse to touch. Is this a common side effect?

Wow, I am so glad to find this site. I have been taking Levothyroxine for probably 3-4 months. At first, I felt great. Now, I have numbness and tinging in my left arm and what I believe to be carpal tunnel (developed in just the past week). I feel depressed, can't stop crying, and I ache like I'm 90 years old - I'm just 25! I have been so scared. I have a Dr. appt. later this week, now I am thinking I need to go off this med. I only have slight hypo, so it's not worth it to be on this stuff! I'm so glad it's not just me.

Ihave been on Levoxyl for about 2 1/2 yrs now. I am now taking 100mg. I ache in my hips and arms and sometimes have a sore throat. I have gained weight (about 20lbs) and feel confused and almost like a panic attack at times. My vision is shot and now I'm going for laser surgery. My libido have been effected by this too and that has caused problems. I have not lost any hair but my hands swell from time to time. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestion for this. I don't want to stop taking it for fear something will happen.
