I've been taking lipitor for 2 and a half years and have recently started getting a severe stabbing pain in the front thigh muscle. It is so painful it stops you dead in your tracks. I have stopped taking the Lipitor for a week now and the pain has gone. I also have memory loss and dizzy spells but don't know if that can be contributed to lipitor. I also have problems with co-ordination and speech. As I am only 46 I don't think it is old age!

I've only been on lipitor for about 4 1/2 weeks now, but noticed almost immediately that I feel jittery all day until evening, when the dosage would likely be wearing off. I've also noticed some slight memory problems and had a couple of dizzy spells today. Does anyone or has anyone had this racing heart feeling on lipitor?? I feel like I drank 2 pots of caffinated coffee...

I was on lipitor for only three months when I started getting a burning sensation in my feet. The more I took my medication the more intense the burning would become. It was my only new medication so I told my Dr. I thought it was the lipitor...he didn't agree but I still went off of it and noticed a big difference. There are some days I still get some minor burning but I won't touch lipitor again. I also had dizzy spells but until reading this post didn't think about the lipitor causing that.

Shortness of breath, not able to walk very far, get awake during the night gasping for breath, difficulty swallowing, and dizzy spells, where everything is spinning for several minutes.
I quit taking lipitor on my own, and within two days, I was walking and running 6 miles with no problem. No more shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing, and not waking up gasping for breath.

In May of this year I went on Lipitor. My cardiologist quickly ramped me up to 40 mg. In June I had thyroid surgery and began taking Synthroid and calcium supplements. By summer I was getting dizzy spells, nausea, cold feet, and minor cramps in my legs. This went on for several weeks. I thought it was related to the surgery. A blood check by my thyroid specialist showed everything in good order. The dizziness, etc. persisted. I discovered this web site, read the postings and immediately took myself off the Lipitor. Two weeks later I began to feel significantly better. I told my cardiologist what I had done. He did not argue about my decision but suggested that at some future date, when I feel 100 percent, I return to the Lipitor. I don't think so. Diet, exercise and supplements will be my solution from here on. I'm very lucky to have caught this early.

I started lipitor 10mg about 3 years ago, then went to 20 mg. I began having knee pain, hip pain and low back pain. Doctors said it was arthritis, put me on celebrex, but nothing worked. I was put on 40 mg lipitor about 6 mths ago, then began to have dizzy spells, low back pain so bad I cannot walk unless I am on walker or pushing shopping cart in store. No one believes I am in the pain I have. I am now having so much pain I can hardly get out of bed and taking a shower is the hardest part of my day. I also had a heart attack about 3 months ago. HELP I knew nothing of the side effects of lipitor until today when I accidently happened upon this web site. I plan to quit taking lipitor today. Even if it ends my life I will be out of pain

Because I sleep so much, my back and ribs get so sore. Also, I feel like my muscles are weakening. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Does that make sense? I have had this disorder from the time I turned about 25. I am now 35. I have been to several Physicians and 90% think it's depression. However, the reason I'm depressed is because I'm so freaking tired. It takes everything I have to cook supper and wash dishes. I just wish there was a magic pill out there to diminish the effects of t...

Prevention and reversal of heart disease, Linus pauling's vitamin C and Lysine, proline formula flat out works, no bs, no sales pitch just truth. I am a shining example. Google it, study and research it then use it, simple cheap, and available anywhere. Get rid of angina attacks in days. Had about 30 attacks per week, been 2 1/2 years now since starting this, and 1 attack in those 2 1/2 years. This is real, I stake my life on it.
