Lopressor side effects

SInce taking Lopressor, I have experienced depression and feelings of hopelessness. I also have serious memory loss issues. I ONLY 40 years old......what am I going to do?

Been on Lopressor since November- gained about 5 pounds. Never had weight problem before. Continue to exercise regularly, to no avail. Considering going off medication for fear of continued weight gain. Have decreased dose to 25 mg twice a day, but this hasn't helped.

I've noticed that I'm extremely hungry since taking this drug.
Has anyone else oticed severe leg pain with this drug?

I have had several. Tired,weight gain,low sexy drive, and memory loss, and poor concentration.

I have been taking Lopressor for 25 YEARS! Yes as with all drugs there are side effects, but this drug is VERY safe and long term use is VERY beneficial. Takes about a month for your body to adjust then you should be fine. Is in the older-class of drugs and is very safe. I take 50mg twice a day. No problems here, and its one of the less expensive drugs for high blood pressure and heart medicines around. Good luck! Im a advocate of Lopressor.

I've been on Lopresor for aprox. a month. I stay hungry all the time. I am gaining weight, tired, sleepy.

I would like to know if there are other meds that wil not cause weight gain.

Does this drug cause any adverse sexual side effects?

Exhaustion, very tired. Ability to fall asleep ANY time of day.

Are there any adverse sexual side effects to Lopressor? ie; reduced or libido?

Is anyone besides me gaining weight on Lopressor? I was put on it Aug. 2002 and by January, I had gained 10 lbs. My Dr. says no it doesn't. I work with several nurses and they say yes it does. I have also atarting reading Dr. Atkins Diet book and he says that along with Lopressor, Corgard and Inderal will make you gain and will also make it very hard for you to lose weight while on these 3 drugs. Anyone else haaving this problem? Does anyone have any idea which medications for High B.P. won't cause weight gain? Thanks glenda
