I DISLOCATED MY SHOULDER AND THANK GOODNESS FOR THESE! I HAVE TAKEN THEM BEFORE WITH AN IMPACTED TOOTH AND I LOVED THEM THEN TOO. ITS CRAZY TO SEE ALL OF THESE TESTIMONIES AND THE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAYS LORTAB AFFECTS PEOPLE. THE DEFINITELY "MAKE ME HIGH" TO BE HONEST. BUT HELL I LIKE IT, AND I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ADDICTION SO WHY NOT. =) FUNNY THING IS I CANNOT TAKE VICODIN BY ITSELF. ILL HAVE NO PAIN RELIEF AND AN UPSET STOMACH. STRANGE BUT EVEN FROM READING THESE CLAIMS IT IS EASY TO SEE THAT EVERYONES BODY IS AFFECTED DIFFERENTLY.

I've taken loratab for several different things, after Birth of my son, after gallbladder surgery, sinus infections and so on.. This may sound odd, and I will probably get alot of backlash on this issue.. But it makes me happy.. I would seriously like to see a doctor.. or even a pharmaceutical company hold a drug trial on how laratab can be used as an anti-depressant, I've suffered from depression almost all my life.. and have been on a plethera of anti-depressants, they always seem to work for the first month or so, and then "wear" off so to speak.. I have to either up my dose.. or change all together.. I don't have to do that with loratab
When I take it, I don't have any crazy side effects.. in fact just the oppisite.. I feel i have much more clearity, I'm happy and just have an all around "good" feeling. When at work.. I feel I give my co-workers and customers the best of my abilities.. and not to mention my home life.. I'm a better mother.. daughter.. sister.. and friend.. and what's really funny I don't have that "urge" perople say they get if addicted to a drug.. I can go for months without it and i'm fine.. but much better when i do have it..

I took Lortab/Hydrocodone 500mg and I have nausea, lightheadedness, and i feel very tired. now new symptoms are appearing as I take them for the third day. I am now getting tingling in my legs and swelling in my fingers and feet. I am supposed to take these every 4-6 hours but I don't know if I can stomach these side effects.

Does having one's legs become black and blue have anything to do with Lortab?

Do not abuse them, they are very hard to come off of.I heard that it is just like oral heroin.I have a prescription and at first everything was good but then I started liking how good they made me feel and started taking more and more now I am having to recover and I wish that I would of never put that pill in my mouth. At first you are full of energy then after a long period of use your body becomes immune and it has a higher tolerance level so you find yourself taking more and more the the aching muscles begin, muscle that never ached before, you stay tired, ill and lose your sex drive.I really don't recommend them unless you are in severe pain!Trust me everything is good at first but that will in time come to an end and so will your liver.

I only take it occasionally when I have severe muscle spasms/severe pain in shoulders, neck and back but have noticed when I take it, I immediately begin having hives, INTENSE itching all over and I do mean all over, even my scalp and inside of my ears itch!
Drives me crazy! Keeps me up all night scratching.
Other than that, I haven't noticed any side effects but the itching/hives drives me nuts!

I got into a car accident several years ago. I now have severe arthritis in my legs and shoulders and arms. Lifting weights has helped with the pain in my arms and shoulders, but nothing helps with the pain in my legs. When I first got into the accident I was put on soma. I stayed on it for around fifteen years at eight pills a day. When ultram came out I quit taking soma with no problems. Additions not a problem I have. After a few years on ultram it wasn't cutting it so my doctor put me on lortab 700. This helps a great deal and I find that if I take at least two of my doses during the night and only one during the day,I'm much more alert. I don't know what I'll do when these drugs quit working because my husband is selfemployed and so no one will give me insurance so that I can try the new very expensives meds that are out on the market. As of right now, I'm thankful for Lortab.

Here is what happens with me: taking one lighter mg amount vicoden during work (i know its illegal) usually increases my alertness and focus, and calms me down some in order to focus. It does cause me to stay awake, buuut, usually after a couple of doses of it within 8 hours, it wears off and i start getting tired. i never did the stuff daily though.. only on days i was tired ; p sometimes I would do the naughty thing and have a little bit to drink after work. the alcohol effect would increase, but at the same time, i controlled my amount by what i bought at the store. so, i never did anything truly harmful to my liver or stomach .. food before the vic (few bananas) and very slight food before the alc. It helps me sleep anyway, but like I said, I control my intake of things, so unless you can too, these ways aren't suggested ; p

Had dental surgery (an implant), Dentist gave me an Rx for Lortab and received a generic at the pharmacy. Dentist's instructions was to take the Lortab as his painkiller was fading to prevent any difficult pain. Took the tablet, started feeling sleepy (early afternoon) and git into bed and immediately fell asleep. When my wife checked on me, instead of expecting me lying quietly on my back. She found me in constant motion, twisting, turning one side to the other--rather hectic. When I awoke, I found sharp pains in the back of my head, across my back, and down my right side to my knee. After medical questioning and an MRI of my spine, the opinion was that I had pinched one or more nerves. This happened 2/2/08 and still with me 3/14/08. I have PT 2X a week with some relief each time, Still in pain!

I had loratab after I had surgery and it worked well for the pain, but after a couple days, it began making me nauseous any time I would take it. My mother and my friend both had similar experiences.

my boyfriend takes hydrocodone for degenerative disks in his back... he's tired all the time and has no sex drive at all anymore... can this be a side effect of the hydrocodone? The doc has recently upped his dosage to 1000 mg - which he takes 1/2 a pill, but he's probably taking 2000 mg a day I think.

i was given loratab after my c-section and i barely had to use them. they worked great if i did need them. and my husband was given them for his broken toes, and he liked them as well. neither of us experienced any side effects. although with my situation, there were so many things going on, i am not sure i would have noticed.

lortab, hydrocodone, and vicodin are all derrivited from the same drug, and are essentually the same. differences mainly concern allergic reactions. to my knowledge, stomache pains are a side effect of too much of any of these drugs, and they are all highly addictive

Not necessarily from lortab, but my boyfriend has been taking pain pills, and i am worried. Recently he has been bleeding from his butt. He went to the doctors, it is not hemirroids, its not a sexual transmitted disease. What I want to know is: I have heard that acetaminophen causes liver damage and damage to other organs. It is possible that him eating these pain pills could be causing him to bleed? Maybe the pills are deteriating his organs or something, maybe making them bleed. Do pain pills have these serious effects? I would really appreciate a response. Thank you.

My husband (soon to be ex) for this reason, has not wanted to have sex since December 2008, he hides money, and is not the person I thought I married. I have discovered that he is addicted to Lortabs (this is all I know of). It will not get better unless he stops using the chemicals.
