I DONT HAVE THE NIGHT SWEATS OR HOT FLASHES MUCH ANYMORE I DO STILL HAVE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND BOUTS OF DEPRESSION. I JUST WANT THE OLD ME BACK. SOMEBODY TELL ME THAT THERE IS SOME HOPE THAT MY BODY WILL RESTORE ITSELF TO NORMAL. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY WEIGHT TO BE NORMAL AGAIN OR WILL I HAVE TO SUFFER WITH THIS FOREVER? MY SHOULDERS AND HIPS BOTH ACHE ALL THE TIME THIS DRUG IS AWFUL AND I AM SO ANGRY WITH MY MONEY HUNGREY DOCTOR WHO MADE OVER $3000.00 FOR MY PAIN. TO ALL OF YOU CONSIDERING THIS DRUG IT IS MY EXPERIENCE AND OPINION NOT TO DO IT, YOU WILL REGRET IT MOST LIKELY. JUST DO YOUR RESEARCH DON T BE A FOOL LIKE I WAS. I THOUGHT WELL DOCTOR KNOWS BEST THAT IS A TOTALLY WRONG. GOD BLESS AND HANG IN THERE EVERYONE. THAT IS ALL WE CAN DO I GUESS. THIS DRUG SHOULD BE BANNED.

On my first IVF cycle I took lupron. I took a microdose formulation twice a day for about 10 days. Even though the dosage was small and of short duration, I had very severe night sweats where I'd wake up drenched every single night. I had mild headaches and severe irritability and stress.
I'm on my second IVF cycle and just took my first shot of lupron today. It's too soon to know how the reactions will be, but I just had a major blowout with my mom, so it's either working already or I'm having a psychosomatic rxn. Yikes.

I know I'm supposed to wait for side effects, but I have been reading this site for research. I have struggled with endo. for aprox. 15 yrs. I've tried surgery, pregnancy, the pill, and as much IBprofin that my stomach can handle. My Dr. wants to start me on Lupron next week. Now I'm scared to death. I need to be a happy mom for my kids, not wacked out, unable to sleep or remember my conversations with them. Is this drug worth it. Should I just live with the pain? It sounds like this drug is worse than endo.

I am writing because i just got my 4th shot of lupron. During my office visit my dr. told me that because the pain hasnt gone away and the only thing lupron did for me was stop my periods, she now believes what I have suspected all along. I DONT HAVE ENDOMETRIOSIS!!!!! Now i am being referred to an ob pain specialist. She suspects it may be an ovary problem. No surprise considering I have had ovarian problems since puberty. She is suggesting a full pelvic exam with a possible laproscopy. She is fearfull of further surgerous and wants them only as a last resort. GOD BLESS HER FOR THAT!!!...She also is suspecting the uterine tumor and ceasarion scares as a possible problem.. Hey gals my advice is this.....Make sure you know what you have before you get treated. I took all those shots for something i dont even have. All the aforementioned symtoms were not worth it for me. The good news is the hot flashes and crying jigs have stopped. so there is some hope for people oin the shot. And as i mentioned before about the lack of appetite and weight loss....IT IS THE REVERSE OF WHAT LUPRON DOES TO YOU...A good sighn it may not be endo.. She is now worried about that one too. thanks for the posting after mine and may you all gain some insight from this one...good luck to you all..

My sun has suffered from three years of age with stomach pain and discomfort uppon eating he is now 12 years old. We have seen many doctors all of whom are very vague. His blood work consistantly comes back with low amylase and lipase. Yet they dont see any need for further investigation. I have been told he has a sensitive stomach. As a mother I see more. I live with him and see him every day. He eats very little, (i think it still hurts) he says he's not in pain anymore. At nine he was still thr...

I did a six month stint of the Lupron shots as a treatment for severe endometriosis. The entire experience was horrible. At first I was sick to my stomach for days on end. This fluctuated on and off for the duration. Shortly after my mom started noticing intense fluctuations in my mood. I don't know that there is any way to describe it other than I felt like I was going crazy. All I wanted to do was rage and scream and fight for reason what so ever. I was also extremely lethargic for long periods of time. When the lethargy finally wore off I would be so manic that I would have overwhelming attacks of anxiety. About one month into the treatment my hair started falling out in clumps. By the time the treatment was over I had lost half the thickness of my hair. I was so miserable that my own family didn't want to be around me.
