Maxidex and ace inhibitor

Started taking maxide and within 1 day started facial swelling,ears, lips,cheeks. stop immediately and went back on ace inhibitor such as altace or lisinopril with no problem.

I have been on Maxide for several years and have never experienced any negative side effects. Recently, my doctor said my potassium was low and put me on a supplement. From what I have read here, it may be due to the Maxide. A lack of sufficient potassium can cause muscle cramps, so consider a supplement if that occurs. I have been on an ACE inhibitor as well, but talked to the doctor today about discontinuing that. I have been on a half Maxide tablet but will increase it to a full one if needed. ACE inhibitors, like Altace, can have a number of negative side effects much worse than Maxide.
