Maxidex and altace

Started taking maxide and within 1 day started facial swelling,ears, lips,cheeks. stop immediately and went back on ace inhibitor such as altace or lisinopril with no problem.

SINCE ON THE MEDICATION ALTACE & MAXIDE DERMATOLOGISTS TESTED FOR ECZEMA. LARGE PATCHY SKIN RASH ALONGSIDE OF MY FACE AND MOUTH. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE. I HAVE ONLY BEEN OFF FOR TWO DAY, WE SHALL SEE. ALTHOUGH MAXKDE HELPED WITH FLUID, AFTER READING THE ARTICLES, I AM SKEPTICAL ABOUT WANTING TO BE PUT BACK ON MAXIDE.
I AM ALSO A RUNNER AND I CAN FEEL MY BODY SWELLING ALREADY.

I have been on Maxide for several years and have never experienced any negative side effects. Recently, my doctor said my potassium was low and put me on a supplement. From what I have read here, it may be due to the Maxide. A lack of sufficient potassium can cause muscle cramps, so consider a supplement if that occurs. I have been on an ACE inhibitor as well, but talked to the doctor today about discontinuing that. I have been on a half Maxide tablet but will increase it to a full one if needed. ACE inhibitors, like Altace, can have a number of negative side effects much worse than Maxide.
