Tingling on surface of skin, sore joints, leg cramps. Started taking potassium and the cramps went away. Used to walk my dogs several miles a day after work. No longer have the energy. Tired after a good night's sleep. Loss of motivation. Also experiencing ringing in my ears, headaches and dizziness. I get vertigo just riding my mower in wide circles around trees. My ankles never have been swollen. Now they are swollen on a regular basis. My feet and legs are painful for no reason.

i have been taking generic maxide for about 10 years. i was given it because of swelling in my ankles. now i still swell, but have had a strange itching kind of rash on my breasts for a couple of years. it drives me crazy and no one seems to know what it is. is it possible that it could have something to do with this drug? and is there anything else i could take for the edema. if i stop the drug i swell so bad in my legs that i cant function. i would appreciate any info you could give me. i have asked several doctors about the long term use of maxide and they say it is harmless.

I am taking both Lotensin and Maxide. Upon doing some research, I believe that it is the Maxide causing my problem: cramping in my hands and feet (toes and fingers) and tightening with soreness (like cramps) at the back of my ankles by the achilles tendons that sometimes cause me to limp. Following up with my physician.

by rose81, 2 replies, updated about 2 hours ago.I was given the fantastic news that my body doesn't like itself anymore. I don't know when it had a falling out, but all I can say is the course of action to remedy this disease is CRAZY. Taking meds that have more side effects and the restrictions on my daily life, because of the meds, no driving, no salt, no sugar, and little fat in my diet, very little sun. Bathing in skin moisturizer, moodiness, mental confusion, can't work, but expected to continue cooking for family, and cleaning. Which I guess ...

He has slured speech, incoherent, unsteady on his feet & drops off to sleep in the blink of an eye. Could it be something other that drink related? or is he just pretending to himself he's ok?

Although it is held at bay by medication I have found that I suffer from the same side effects each time the condition Flares up. These are: mouth ulcers, localised cysts in my groin, coldsores and fatigue. I'm just curious because the symptons seem to appear before the flare up...

My Mother's physician wants to prescribe Maxide.
-- By jlfothus | Reply | Send Private MailHowever, my mother was recently hospitalized due to low sodium level of 119, caused by the HCTZ that was included with her blood pressure RX of Lisinopril. The HCTZ helped lower her blood pressure. However, she has been experiencing leg and feet pain and cramping for four months. Recently had an onset of a terrible headache and vomitting whereby she ended up in the ER. After not having the HCTZ with her blood pressure RX she had extreme swelling in her feet, ankles and lower leg area and her blood pressure has elevated. She had an EMG and now has neuropathy. Hospital physician instructions: Do not take HCTZ. Do not think Maxide is the thing for Mom to take either. Any recommendations?
