I have been taking maxide for years along with 80mg diovan and about a month ago, I start having pains in lower stomach, thighs, buttock, legs, feet start burning and cramping. I discontinue maxide for a few days and the problems stopped, started back to taking and the problems started again.

I have kidney damage from taking ibuprofen and other NSAIDs for over 40 years for a bad back and arthritis. Never had any warning until a bad blood test reading for creatinine. I wonder whether taking Triamterene (Maxide generic) will cause any further damage to the kidneys. Also taking Diovan and checked internet on that drug and advises not to take if you have mild to moderate kidney damage. Any effect on kidneys by diuretics?
