Maxidex and medication

I've been taking Triamtrn/HCTZ Tab 75-50 for HBP, approx 4 years. During that time I have had three occasions when my left ankle became so inflamed, swollen, and painful to touch that I could not walk. On the first two occasions this problem was diagnosis as Tendinitis. On the third occasions I have been told that the problem may be a form of gout that can be brought on by my medication. Is it true that Maxide and its generic will produce uric acid which could ultimately lead to developing gout.

SINCE ON THE MEDICATION ALTACE & MAXIDE DERMATOLOGISTS TESTED FOR ECZEMA. LARGE PATCHY SKIN RASH ALONGSIDE OF MY FACE AND MOUTH. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE. I HAVE ONLY BEEN OFF FOR TWO DAY, WE SHALL SEE. ALTHOUGH MAXKDE HELPED WITH FLUID, AFTER READING THE ARTICLES, I AM SKEPTICAL ABOUT WANTING TO BE PUT BACK ON MAXIDE.
I AM ALSO A RUNNER AND I CAN FEEL MY BODY SWELLING ALREADY.

I have taken Maxide twice. both times I became VERY ill and I was in the ER. In my opinion, This is a dangerous medication! my dr. said it was mild and very few who take it have side effects. Maybe I am allergic to it? I had severe body aches and chills I could barely walk and my liver enzymes were thrown totally out of whack. I thought I was going to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have sore (extremely) feet and hands at the joint points. It has gotten increasingly worse in the last 3 month. My husband is also on the same medication and has been complaining of sore joints also recently.

I have protein buildup in my kidneys. Does maxide cause this
problem. If so, what do I do. My doctor suggested changing my medication. How can you prevent protein buildup in your
kidneys.

I've been taking maxide for about three years due to blood presure and as a diaretic. Within the first month of taking the medication I experienced a loss of libido. I took it for granted that I was just getting older but after I stopped taking maxide for about a week my libido returned. As other people have reported I did suffer from leg cramps, tightness in the fingers, hands and feet.

Once I take Maxide I get a severe cramp in my stomach. Cramping is not one of the symtoms of this medication.
