Maxidex and potassium level

I have been taking maxide for over 10 years. Shortly after I began taking it I developed a rash on my face that was more like loss of pigmentation. Over the last several years it has gotten worse and began to spread to other parts of my body. I have had 8 biopsies, seen at least 12 different dermatologist all with no resolution. Recently I stopped taking maxide for two weeks because of a problem with my potassium level and miraculously, the pigmentation on my face began to come back. Unfortunately, I was put back on maxide to control my blood pressure because it was very effective and my doctor didn't want to experiement with too many other medications if it was working.

Anyone else had anything like this happen?

I have been taking Maxide for over 8 years, and now I have severe weakness in my legs, and have to struggle to keep my balance. When I go to bed at night, my legs feel as though they have littlle people running continuosly in inside. I mentioned this to my Doctor, and he suggested that I take half a tablet each day. I also had a serious problem with my potassium level being at a dangerous point at one time, and not I am taking prescription potassiun every day. Please give me some information on these problems.

my potassium level reached 5.9 2 Dr's one in ER AND MY FAMILY DOCTER took me off Maxide I have kidney problems and body was not flushing out excess potassium got very weak tingly numbness felt as I was going to pass out couldn't hardly walk very scary!!!

Maxide dropped my potassium level to a dangerously low level(2.4) and was a very big factor in my having to be coded twice when I started having chest pains.
