Maxidex and triamterene

Severe itching after exposure to the sun. Switched from generic Triamterene to Maxide after pharmacy switched generic manufacturers. Since on the Maxide, I've had the toe and foot cramps.

I have kidney damage from taking ibuprofen and other NSAIDs for over 40 years for a bad back and arthritis. Never had any warning until a bad blood test reading for creatinine. I wonder whether taking Triamterene (Maxide generic) will cause any further damage to the kidneys. Also taking Diovan and checked internet on that drug and advises not to take if you have mild to moderate kidney damage. Any effect on kidneys by diuretics?

Kidney Stone Composition-35% Triamterene,65% carbonate apatite. I have been been taking this generic for Maxide for years. I have no idea what this means. One doctor thinks I should discontinue, another doctor says I should keep taking it. Everything I read on the internet seems just as contradictory
