and it eventually went away after a scare then the next morning I had another simular attack. I called my doctor and he said he never heard about this happening to someone
on this medicine. I told him I read the lit that came with the
medicine and it can raise blood pressure and induce heart
failure on the warning. He said stop taking the medicine. He didn't have to tell me that, I stopped on my own.

I have been on Methylpred 4mg for a swollen knee. This is day three. I had extremly sharp pain in my throat down to my stomach. I felt as if I was having an esophagel spasm. My blood pressure shot way up and my heart rate dropped down to 53. I went to my regular dr. and she took me off of the med. My ortho had given it to me.

I had take all but two of the of the first day's 4 mg pills when my heart began racing and my blood pressure shot up. I have cardiac arrythmia problems. Also, I had a couple of instances of GERD. This is rare for me now, since I take prilosec everyday to avoid irritating my esopagus. I have Barrett's esphagus.
Methlpred was prescribed following an MRI that showed moderate to severe cervical spinal stenosis. I wish I could coniue it, because it did help. Please reply ASAP.

Methylpred was administered by injection to one of our cats at our local small animal hospital, to help change his mood and discourage him from biting his tail. Upon returning home, the cat behaved as though partially sedated, lying quietly in an out-of-the-way location. Because we expected some change in behavior, and because we have several other cats in the house, we did not pay particular attention to this cat. During the second night, between 24 and 36 hours after the injection, he died. He exhibited no signs of convulsion, vomiting, or sounds of discomfort. Although moderately overweight, this cat appeared in good health. We suspect heart failure, following increased blood pressure.
