Metoprolol Tartrate and numbness

i was prescribed 50mg Metoprolol i took it the first morning n i work nights so i went to sleep n woke up feeling sick n left side of my face was numb i wasn't able to work that night. didn't feel right the whole night. second day i took it it wasn't keeping my bp down so i called and doc said take two so 100 mg of Metoprolol. I will tell you first thing i felt was numbness getting worse was scared i had a stroke, was sick, anxiety n panic attacks thru the roof. i finally took a xanex to help me go to sleep as i wasn't able to work that night either. and i woke up with my whole body trembling n shaking and a headache in the back of my head i rubbed my neck and it eased up tho. but the shaking continued for around an hour and i tried to talk to my dad because i felt like i was about to die or something and was chattering so bad it was difficult to talk. I took my xanex to calm that down and it helped calm it again. that was after 4 pills. and the doc was going to increase the mg to 100 no way i quit it this morning went and got my other prescriptions filled bisoprolol and lisinopril they don't just keep my bp down the best but they sure don't give me those side effects that keep me from even functioning. Im thru with Metoprolol. there are too many others out thier that can help besides this particular one. Metoprolol did lower my bp BUT I was so weak I couldn't do anything. I had numbness, palpulations , extreme depression and all the other things that every bp drug does. They should be taken off the market.
