Well just like many of you I am glad that I am not going crazy. I had the Mirena inserted in April and have had sever bloating continous brown "periods" to small for a tampon and extremely sore breast. When I went to my GYN and discussed bc I had said that I had heard about the Mirena and asked her what she thought. She gave me the I think it would be the best form for you.She said the first few months would be irregular periods but then they would either be very light or none at all. Well they have been light but they go on for 2 weeks. I am also experiencing fatigue and dizziness and mood swings. If I didn't know any better I would think I was pregnant. I am unable to focus well on things. Feeling absent minded klike I was during my pregnancies. I have gained some weight and I and constantly bloated. My doctor told me that I would experience some acne which fortunately has been minimal but that there were very little side effects!! Bull!! I think I am going to scheduled my removal ASAP

I've had the Mirena for 4 year now. My periods stopped after the first month. From then on I have had light spotting for only 3 days. That changed two months ago. First of all my period was 18 days late for March but it finally came on and lasted for 10 days, it was very heavy with clots. I was also having some pregnancy symptoms before my period came on such as nausea, constipation, sore breast, and fatigue. I took some pregnancy test but they were all negative. For April the my period was the same like it was in March, but I am feeling little flutters in the bottom of my stomach and having a lot of cramping on my left side. Yesterday I tried to feel my string but couldn't. What's going on? I need for help!!

Hi Danielle here, I have posted in the past, I was wondering if any of you that suffered from anxiety, and nausea post Mirena, when did you see an improvement, was it after a couple cycles? Are any of you on an anti- anxiety meds? They say that when the anxiety goes that the rest follows, is there truth to this? I am 4 weeks post removal and I still wake up with the feeling of dread, I take Lorazepam to help, but I am sick of taking a med I just want to feel like "me" again, what an uphill battle, while I do notice an improvement these pat 2 weeks to the 1st two weeks I am still very concerned about the anxiety and nausea, I went to the mall yesterday for 3 hours, and came home a wreck! crying, dread, I hate it, can anyone please tell me when I should expect to see an improvement? I know it is different for all but any information would be appreciated.

This registry is a place to share positive or negative side effects of using Mirena. If you directly experienced a side effect while using Mirena, then we encourage you to enter it here. Please note that entries here are the experiences of individual users, and in no way means that you or anyone else will experience the same side effect, since the same medication affects people in different ways. Please always contact your physician.

Hi - I am stunned at all the awful experiences that users of the Mirena are describing on this and other websites!
-- By beckintrude88 | Reply | (1) replies | Send Private MailI had mine removed 5 days ago - principally because my hair was falling out in worringly large amounts. I wasn't sure it was the Mirena, but decided to get it taken out anyway as I had experienced pretty constant bleeding since having it fitted in March. It was only after having it removed that I checked the internet, and have realized since that I have been suffering from other symptoms that I had not realized could be related to the Mirena. Apart from the hair loss, I have experienced a terrible foggy and tired feeling, dizziness, sore and swollen eyelids, strange spots around my hairline, one sore breast (!), a feeling that I couldn't be bothered with things - including my children, dry skin patches on my face and grumpiness. However, as a working mum of 2, with a husband who is away quite a lot, I had just put this down to a busy life where I don't have time for myself always. Now I think it was the Mirena!
Having had it removed, I can feel the fog lifting, though not the tiredness. I have experienced heavy bleeding and blood clots - now subsiding, but feel more cheerful. My hair loss, however, is seemingly getting worse...has anyone else had a similar experience please? Any advice on how to deal with this and how long it might take to stop would be greatly appreciated!
