I began taking Mobic about a month ago. I have some acne and rosacea, but I began to develop blister-like acne papules all over my face. I am an esthetician working for a plastic surgeon. I take great care of my skin and thought it would subside eventually. Then I began getting ulcers/blisters in my mouth and my stomach was quite upset. I then recalled a similar reaction to Feldene and few years ago and decided to stop the Mobic. The breakout subsided in about a week and my skin is back to normal.

I started taking Mobic 2 weeks ago for siatic pain, took pain away right away, but for the last few days I have had terrible hot flashes, weakness, headaches , and have made my depression worse. Also itching of the skin. It worked so well, I wonder if the side effects will go away or if they will just get worse?
Does anyone know?

I was taking mobic 15mg for 2 weeks for arthritis and shoulder impingement. After 5 days I began to have hot flashes and developed a heat rash on the back of my legs from the heat built up from sitting in a chair. I called the doctor and I was advised the mobic was not causing the problems and to continue taking it. Near the end of the second week of taking mobic, my skin was noticeably hot all the time (I was not running a fever). I could not sit or lay down for more than 10 minutes without the heat buildup getting to hot to bear. The last night I spent standing up under a ceiling fan to keep from getting uncomfortably hot. I stopped taking the mobic and symptoms began going away within 24 hours. The mobic worked much better than the naproxen for pain management, but the side-affects were not tolerable.

Could increasing chronic kidney disease be a side effect of long-term Mobic use? My physician says maybe--I am miserable with arthritis without it. Anybody else have this side effect?

after taking mobic for a month night leg cramps like nothing i've ever experienced consistenly started waking me from a deep sleep. my muscles were so sore, I had difficulty walking the next day. I'm not taking any for a few days, hoping this is the problem. I have degenerative/crippling arthritis in both thumbs. Dr. says, surgery is the answer. Perhaps so.

I started taking Mobic 7.5 mg about a year ago like everyone else I'm having some of the same side effects. Skin rash on arms, knee pain that wasn't there, tired and groggy, insomia, and forgetful at times. I have had severe back pain for over two years. Diagnosis, osteoarthritis, osteporosis, degenrative disk disease. They can't even tell me for sure what is causing my pain. Insurance companies like to keep us sick and in pain. Want to do water exercises but there are not many facilities out there.

I guess I have or had been taking mobic 15mg for about 3 weeks, a week ago started having pain (crampy) in upper abdominal area, vomiting and loss of appetite. Stopped taking a few days ago and symptoms seem to be subsiding. After reading others comments must have been a good idea

I too am curious about Mobic for menstrual cramps. I just received a bunch of samples for my horrible cramps, but I'm afraid to take it due to all the potential side effects. Any users out there for this problem?

Why is mobic better then save advil or aleve? I have a prescription but haven't started it yet. I have fibromyalgia and osteo arthritis in neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees and most recently my hands and fingers.
I have a long history of irregular heart beats(pvc's ) and I am reluctent to complicate them with added comlications from mobic. If soemone has info that would help I would appreciate it.

Dear Sirs,
Yesterday was the second days of experiencing mobic medicine (15 mg) and the physician advised me to take one pill per day to be taken after dinner, but actually it seems that it causes me a pain in my stomach in the next day, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to continue of taking this medication.

I've been taking Mobic for about 1 year now. I can't tell that it is really helping my fibromyalgia left from Lyme disease. Some days, I can hardly move. I have noticed that I bleed much more easily. Little nicks actally drip blood now. I'm going to quit taking it just to see if that is part of the problem. Every time the doctor's office draws blood, the tech seems concerned and asks me if I am taking a blood thinner.

hello when I first started taking Mobic I noticed a small improvement. I gradually developed some knee pain which was never a problem before. I started waking up every night after 5 hours. I recently stopped Mobic and have been sleeping better with no knee pain I am attributing the insomnia/knee pain to Mobic. I'll stick with my ibuprofen

I was prescribed Mobic for shoulder pain in April 2005. I am a gastric bypass recipient and therefore should not have been prescribed anything in the NSAID's department. As a result, the Mobic adhered to the inside wall of my stomach pouch, created several ulcers, and caused severe stomach bleeding causing me three hospital stays and having to receive 4 units of blood. I think all physicians as well as the gastric bypass patients themselves should be aware of the damage NSAID's can do to their stomach pouches.

My rheumatologist gave me 2 weeks worth of Mobic 7.5 to take for osteoarthritis pain in my hands and back. I took my 1st pill around 8:30 pm and went to bed at 10:30ish. I had horrible nightmares and woke on the hour all night. The next morning I was depressed and very out of sorts until that afternoon. This was in addition to the pain I still had which was not aleviated in the least. My fingers were also swollen. I called his office and told them my symptoms and he told me not to take anymore. I burned the other samples!

I've been taken 15mg mobic for since may-2005, & last night had sudden severe leg pain to the point I could not walk on it.
This was at 3am - put heat pad on leg at knee. Also had right side tenderness under r. breast. Think it might be liver systems. These are side effects of mobic. I can't take nsaids so now don't know what to take for arthritis.

I had total loss of appetite and a constant headache when I first start Mobic but those side effects have subsided. I have pretty severe constipation and feel dehydrated frequently. My face has broken out (I'm 44) and I have frequent vaginal bleeding. Not heavy bleeding, but often. Joint-wise - I feel TONS better so I'm hoping that these side effect subside like the loss of appetite and headache did.

In Nov I was diagnosed with rhumetoid arthritis, and was given Mobic. I started taking 7.5 mil once a day, then was given samples (when I ran out) of 15 mil. This past week, I have started to have pain in my knees.....I am wondering if this is a side effect of the Mobic. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I also started feeling very anxious about things.

I felt like vomiting while I was asleep and it was like coffee grounds. Doctor told me to stop taking immediately and get mylanta or malox. He also said it was "dystritis". What is that and how serious is that? Doctor was on call and hung up too quick.

I noticed that after taking Mobic for about 3 weeks I started having acne. And I'm 40 years old! Had enough of that in high school. I also noticed that a small knot of some kind formed under one of my armpits. So, I quit taking it and within a few days my face cleared up and the knot went away. I ahve arthritis in my hands, my fingers mostly. Cant't seem to find anything to help with the pain or the stiffness. If anyone out there has an answer please let me know. I've tried almost everything out there so far.

I have noticed that as my arms, hands and face are always in the sun all year around that they are very tanned as if I have been sun baking. I am also very tired when I take my tablet, I try to go with-out it when I can, and when I do I notice an increase in my energy levels. I have arthritis in my spine, knees, elbows, hands, wrists, hips and one shoulder, so I need to take the mobic tablets as they do seem to help, so I guess these side affects are fairly minimal,I have also noticed an increase in my weight, has any-one else experienced this also.

Yup, just as they say, stay out of the sun. I burn (and tan) much faster since I began taking Mobic one year ago. So much for going swimming without plastering myself with pore-clogging sunscreen! I was told my back pain would be cured, but it's sure hangin' on. It doesn't seem to go away. I'm doing the physical therapy exercises, too. (I don't have arhtritis, but had an injury in 1995 which has caused back pain since then.)

Six hours after taking my first mobic pill my face turned beet red along with my ears. Then my back and chest broke out with either rashes or hives. Then my face started to swell. Had to start taking benadryl immediately. Fortunately my tongue did not swell so I did not have to go to the ER. Following day the itching and rash were gone and most of the swelling in my face. Still had terrible bags under my eyes. I have taken other anti inflammatories with no problems, but my body does not like this drug.
