Neurontin and aol

I have been seeing a psychologist/counselor for anxiety and depression. I have a lot of anger that seems to burst out at times uncontrollably (verbally not physcially). The counsellor reccomended Paxil or Lexapro (for anxiety/depression/some Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms) and had me see a psychiatrist for the prescription. The psychiatrist did not prescribe any of the SSRIs and prescribed Neurontin instead to "even out my moods." I was not very comfortable with him and thought that he may have jumped to some conclusions without truly listening to me. I am on a total of 600 mg (200 mg 3x/day) though I am working up to that level over the next few days. (Right now I'm just taking 300 mg) I've been researching Neurontin on the web and this is the first site I've really found that talks about Neurontin being prescribed for things other than fibromyalgia and pain management. (I do get migraines and he thought the neurontin may help.) I have yet to experience noticable side effects though my back and knees are beginning to hurt. Does this sound like a possible side effect of neuntin? It appears that others have been prescribed Neurontin for the same symptoms (anxiety/anger management) that I've had. I'd appreciate any feedback or contact regarding it. I'm 29, married w/ two children and am homestly quite scared about starting any medication like this. My email is ****** Thanks.

This freaks me out reading all of these...I just expierenced something....

I was in the hospital because they thought I had a stroke. I am only 26 years old. My whole right side when numb and weak and it was my leg, arm, and face, and lips, nose, and eye areas. It then went away after 48 hours. They have no idea what it was. they have done MRI's and ruled out Bells Palsey and tons of stuff. I also see flashing lights so they are starting to lean towards migraines.

The only weird thing is that I went in a while ago for extreme belly pain burning and they found that my liver was enlarged.

Now, someone else above mentioned these stroke like symptoms and the enlarged liver.

I also get strange thoughts. I am on Neurontin 2100 MG for anxiety.

Anyone have any advice?

I WAS ADMITTED AT THE HOSPITAL AFTER TAKING MY NEURONTIN ON TIME AND A EXEDRIN FOR HEADACHE, I FELT A BELLY ACHE AND WHEN TO ER. I TAKE NEURONTIN FOR SEIZURES FOR 3 MONTHS(300MG-3XDAY)NOW, AND I GOT 20 POUNDS ON THOSES 3 MO. I HAVE A TERRIBLE APPETITE, HEADACHES ARE BETTER, BUT SWELLING ON MY KNEES,LEGS,THIGHS,HAND,FEET,MUSCLE PAIN, CONFUSED,NUMBNESS OF TIP OF FINGERS,TONGUE,AND ONE SIDE OF MY FACE,PAIN OF THE BACK OF MY NECK,MEMORY LOSS, LACK OF MY CONCENTRATION,AND INSOMNIA OR DIZZYNESS....BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE NEURONTIN HAVE BEEN WORKING SO GOOD FOR MI SEIZURES THAT I DON'T KNOW IF I SOULD DEAL WITH THE SYMPTOMS FOR A LITTLE BIT UNTILL MY BODY GET USE TO IT OR JUST TELL THE DOCTOR AND TRY SOMETHING ELSE...FANTAXYAMODELO4U@aol.com
