Neurontin and headache

my doctor gave me neurontin a couple days ago for nerve pain steming from my back. i am having aweful side effects. i'm drowsy but can't sleep, i have problems with concentrating, blurred vision, headache, nausea, stomach pain, i am halucinating both visually and audibly, rapid heartbeat, spaced out, uncoordinated, my teeth feel like they are ringing, twitching, and just feeling like i am drunk!!! the worst part of this medicine is that it doesn't even do anything for my pain!!! i called the pharmacist and he told me to stop taking it. i am in a great deal of pain everyday, but i'd rather be in pain and feel normal, than feel in pain and feel aweful!!! i just hope that this isn't a permanent feeling!!!

I am on my 10th day on Neurontin at 300mg OD for a severe cervical muscle pain, the pain did go away but... at first the only noticeable side effects were drowsiness especially in the AM, loss of coordination. But a few days later, the numbness on my lower extremities was noticed as well as moderate to severe headache more on the frontal area and arthralgia (joint pains). I also had episodes of irregular heart beats so I had to be put on Betablocker. The dosage was not that big, but anyway, patient's response varies individually. This will be my last day of Neurontin. I hope my body will eliminate all the traces of this drug.

I had been taking Neurontin for a little while. A Dr. gave it to me for a headache after being on it for about a week and half...when I started feeling some burning in the bladder area....which turned into what seemed like a bad urinary tract infection...but no bacteria showed up...What all this ended up being....I contracted Interstitial Cystitis....and have had to go through awful agony and most depressing periods...because there is no cure for IC. It's an awful disease of the lining of the bladder...I am very angry over all this...

I've been taking 3200-4000mg a day for almost 8 months now. I haven't had a single side effect that was very noticable or bothersome. Maybe just an afternoon headache but i'm used to that. Not even sure that's causing it as I take several meds. The neurontin is supposed to help my mystery back pain that shows no problems. The neurontin kind of numbs it. But like most meds it takes maybe a full month for it to have full benefits

I HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS PILL FOR A FEW DAYS, AND EVERY DAY I WAKE UP GROGGY, TAKES HOURS TO WEAR OFF. ALSO LAST NIGHT I WOKE UP AROUND 3 AM WITH A BIG HEADACHE, WON'T TAKE ANY MORE PILLS. IT DID HELP MY PAIN. NOT WORTH THE AFTER EFFECTS.

I WAS ADMITTED AT THE HOSPITAL AFTER TAKING MY NEURONTIN ON TIME AND A EXEDRIN FOR HEADACHE, I FELT A BELLY ACHE AND WHEN TO ER. WHERE THEY FIND OUT I HAVE LIVER INFLAMATION AND STOMACH INFLAMATION,AFTER DAYS UNDER TREATMENT DR SAYS WAS CAUSE BY A MEDICINE. I TOOK MY NEURONTIN LIKE ALWAYS, BUT I WAS HAVING MIGRAINE AND TOOK EXEDRINE FOR HEADACHE, I FELT PAIN ON MY BELLY BUT DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS CAUSING IT, SO WHEN TO ER, AND GOT AMITTED FOR AN INFLAMATION ON MY STOMACH AND MY LIVER,THEY FIND THAT MY LIVER WAS ENLARGE, CAN THIS COULD IT BE CAUSE BY NEURONTIN DR.IS SURE THAT WAS CAUSE BY A MEDICINE, HE ASSURE THAT NEURONTIN COULD BE THE CAUSE.....???????ANYONE HAVE THIS BEFORE???? .............
