Neurontin and seizure

My doctor put me on Neurontin for nerve damage to my foot related to heel spur surgery. I started taking it on the 17th of this month with it having no effect on the pain (I was only taking one dose a day at 300 mg). He has since upped me to 300 mgs twice a day. I am now having problems with bladder control, infrequent headaches, sleeplessness, inability to climax and horrible bloating and gas. If I hadn't been on other pain meds for the past 8 months, I would stop taking it. Any suggestions?

I have been on neurontin for four years now. I had a grand
mall seizure and have been on 1800 mgs.
Im dizzy all the time. My toes are numb at nite.I am so
tired of it. I have border line diabetis.What will help me?
I am especialy dizzy on a slanted walkway...walking in
sand,my vision also seems blured.
they tell me i have neuropathy.Can anyone tell me how
I can feel better.

my husband started this px about three weeks ago. It makes him tired all the time. Also moderatly high memory loss. He takes it to control seizures and it works well for that, as well as it does not enter the liver like most seizure drugs do.

hi. i take 300mg neurontin twice daily for partial seizures.
i have experienced a great deal of kidney/liver pain since i have been taking this medication(1 1/2 years now), along with abdominal cramps, bloated torso sensation, lethargy, and a lack of concentration and co-ordination/balance.

i have had liver and allergy tests and the results came back normal.

the pains vary from mild discomfort, to stabbing sensations in my kidneys that prevent me from sleeping.
as i have been seizure free for two years now, i would like to try and gradually wean myself off the medication. has anyone any suggestions as to good ways of doing this, and things to avoid.

PS: Question for "Guest" ref testing: What are we having blood tested FOR every six months "if taking seizure medicine or tylenol"? Personally I stay away frpm Tylenol because it seems to ruins the kidneys? (I want to know what to tell my doctor she is looking for --) Jan S. Kauffman

My dr took me off Neurontin and Synthroid. My liver has been inflamed following chemo and radiation. I was doing better taking milk thistle for the liver, but now worse again after the neurontin. Another seizure, a bit of blood in my urine. Extreme fatique. gained 20 lbs and I'm already overweight.
