Omeprazole and legs

Got prescribed Omeprazole for an upset stomach that was causing me to vomit a strange black substance which the gp put down to some sort of bleeding in the stomach, shortly after taking my first tablet i was violently sick, had a really bad fever, sweating and later that evening noticed a blotchy red rash under the arms, on the tops of my legs and down each side of my body.

I am almost 100% sure that it was the medication that caused these symptoms

Depression, itching of the skin with small pimples erupting at site, sensitivity to bright lights, swelling of tongue, numbness of feet and legs, tiredness and fatigue, and most of all a depressed feeling.

my symptoms were with Prevacid, I believe that these drugs all have the same dangerous side effect. It started with extreme weakness, numbness and pins and needles in my legs and arm. Now after 9 weeks of stopping the Prevacid I feel shaky and tremors. I take b-12 injections because it seemed to have depleted me of my normal b-12 levels. I am hoping this is the problem and will improve . until than my doctor has me going to a neurologist to assure it is nothing else . mri of brain is normal and thyroid is normal. HOW LONG UNTIL THESE SYMPTOMS SUBSIDE , PLEASE TELL ME THEY WILL GO AWAY.

Been taking 20mg Omeprazole for 28 days now, (took last one this morning). 1 week into using this medicine I developed a very itchy skin. It started under breastbone then around to the middle of my back, I thought I had Shingles but it can't be as the ichyness is now all over my body with a nasty looking rash especially on my chest, back & legs. I do have a GP appointment soon, but I don't want to take this prescription anymore as the itching is driving me mad, keeping me awake at nights. I just hope the symptoms this was prescribed for don't come back, if they do I dread to think what they will prescribe next as the pain I was suffering was pretty awful as well. I found that bathing in Oilatum helped sooth the itch but not for long!

I am 57yr. old male who has been taking Omeprazole continuously for 7yrs., not knowing that it should not be taken more than 14days at a time, this was never stipulated on the bottle,my bad for not reading the accompanying side effects brochure, some of the effects I experienced were sweating, dizziness, weak legs, hair loss, fatigue, depression, joint pain, loss of sexual drive, erection dysfunction,difficulty in urinating,and most embarrassing of all, enlargement of breast. Starting today I am finished with Omeprazole, thank God for this site,I thought I was just getting old.

i was on omeprazole and wonder if that the cauce of my problems i had dizziness weekness in legs tired panic nervouis teats cant find anythink.i dont take them any more do these symtoms go away.

After three days or maybe four days of taking Prilosec, my husband started to feel tingling, chaffing type feeling in his inner thighs. By the fifth day he started feeling weekness in his legs, by the seventh day he could not walk without holding on to something and felt very strange driving, as if his legs were not working. On the sixth day of taking Prilosec he was sent to the emergency room by his physician for an emergency overview and possible stat MRI. He was given several tests in ER and admitted that eve. MRI and spinal tap done within next few days, all back neg. He is now in a nursing home for PT, he stopped taking Prilosec on my urging 4 days ago, as of yesterday, his balance started to improve and this am is reporting that he is walking better. Before he had what I would call, stroke symptoms as far as leg goes

I have been taking omeprazole 20mg daily once for the last 9 months. After one week of taking this medication I started developing mild symptoms of dizziness, fatigue, sweating of hands, weekness of legs, panic and nervous attacks especially while driving. Slowly the symptoms became intense and now I cannot drive at all. Initially I was not aware that these are the side effects of omeprazole. I did EKG, MRI of brain, Cardiac thorough check up and tests, all normal.
Finally I traced back the time of the symptoms and the start date of this medication, it exactly coincided. Can anyone tell me if these symptoms are reversible. I have stopped taking Omeprazole.

Started on 20mg 4 days ago. Started to have severe anxiety and panic attacks, unable to focus eyes properly, legs not part of me, daren't drive. Visited emergency health clinic twice in one day with stroke symptoms. BP 160/100, slurred speech, metallic taste in mouth, no appetite. Will not take anymore of this so called medicine. It could have killed me.

Omeprazole was successful in relieving excess stomach acid but unfortunately some severe unwanted side effects were developing after the first two weeks of administration.

The most prominent side effect was constriction and tenderness in the chest cavity which was affecting breathing ability at the height of these episodes. A second side effect was the gradually increasing levels of numbness and tingling sensations on the left side of my body in the arm and leg. A third effect was progressively increasing weakness developing in my legs which at times caused tremors and shakyness which affected my endurance during activity levels.

When I switched from Prilosec to Omeprazole I started having muscle spasms, or twitches, in my arms, legs, posterior, and abdomen.
