Ovcon and bloating

I was originally on ovcon 25 and was raised to ovcon 50 two weeks ago because I have bad problems with ovarian cysts. My doctor raised my dosage hoping to arrest the cysts and ever since I have felt very bad. I have been bloating up a lot, eating and having strange cravings, and horrible cramps but not near my ovaries..its strange....it can only be described as around my cervix. I did have a leep last january that strangely is not healed and it was really not hurting in that area until my doctor raised my ovcon dosage. I dont know..it is very confusing. If anyone else has strange side effects or has any info for who this may be doing this or have the same thing going on...please email me. thanks ya'll! hope this helps. 37 yrs old - Tried OVCON 35 for bc before and ivf cycle and the first 2 wks are pure hell. Just call me Cybil. The anxiety is brutal, chest tightening and just can't function in my daily activities. In second week and now I have severe bloating and brown spotting. Uncomfortable around the ovaries - something is definitely wrong with choosing this method of birth control.

I started taking Ovcon 4 months ago, and I had surgery about the same time, I got really sick after surgery and thought it was the surgery ( might have been at first ) but I have been back and fourth to the doctor for the past 4 months with diarrhea, bloating, cramping in my intestines and stomach and I finally figured out it was the ovcon. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone and I'm sure these aren't the normal side effects, but if you think you have the flu while on this, tell your doctor it could be the Ovcon

This is my sixth month of Ovcon 35, and I've had breakthrough bleeding after the ninth pill of every pack. This breakthrough bleeding, as they like to call it, is really exactly the same as a period. Cramps, breast tenderness, skin breakouts, bloating, etc. I have nine days of peace, then the rest of the month is all period. I called my gyn two months ago and she told me to give it another two months. I will call her again, and I hope she has a better response.

ovcon35 sux. I stopped taking after 4 weeks. the 11th active pill I started bleeding for 8 days still bleeding now & pain in the lover ovarian area, tired, moody & cry like a baby Im 26 & ahhhhhh its ridiculous. worse pill ever. thank god I stopped on my 17th pill i dont care what the doc says about waiting it out. hes not going through this BS im done. not worth this aggravation. bad enough we have these problems for 5 days now all this bloating. um no thanx- get off people. now im waiting to get my actual real period b/c i stopped the pill.

I've been on Ovcon 35 for 5 months. I had no problems with breakthrough bleeding until this month. I've been bleeding for 3 weeks! I've also had many of the other side effects mentioned by many others on this site- pain in legs, Abdominal cramping, fatigue, bloating, mood swings. I WILL be stopping these pills today. I'm 43 years old and recently married. No plans for children so my husband is getting a vasectomy. Until I read the side effects posted by other people who have taken OvCon 35, I thought I might have something seriously wrong with me but now I'm sure it's the pills! The FDA needs to take a closer look at what these pills are doing to the woman taking OvCon 35!

I started birth control last July and since then I have been on three different kinds of pills. I first was on Zovia. While on Zovia I would get my period every other week, and this went on for six months. Second I was on Karvia, and it made me depressed and increased the cramps to the point where I couldn't walk. My Dr. then switched me over to Ovcon 35 and I am just ending my second pack. I have had nothing but trouble with this Pill.

I have had: sudden horrible headaches, a change of appetite, lack of energy, depression, bloating, stomach cramps, constipation, dizziness, loss of appitite- to the point where i couldnt tell if i was hungry or full, missed period, nausea, and I have gained weight.

It got so bad that I freaked out thinking that I was possibly pregnant and I took a test only for it to be negative. (Thank God). Hopefully switching to Yasmin will be better for me.

I suppose most of my side effects are the same as those listed below. I've been on Ovcon for 2 months after my doctor switched me from Yasmin for no reason at all! I had no problem with Yasmin! With Ovcon, I've had 6 full periods. By full, I mean, 11 day long periods followed by 10 days of relief, then another full 7 day period. It's awful. I've had horrible mood swings, bloating, cramping, and the last week of medicated pills, severe constipation.

This is an evil drug and I'm switching as soon as possible, hopefully back to Yasmin!

I have gained 5 pounds per month since taking ovcon and i am still having irregular bleeding bloating and abdominal discomfort. It has helped with my nightsweats and difficulty sleeping but the other side effects concern me.
