I'm on my second pack of Ovcon 35. I bled throughout the first pack pretty heavily (Dr. said normal) but no period during the green pills when expected. My breasts are so sore I can barely get my bra on without wincing in pain. They are also hard as rocks and a cup size bigger. I've gained 5 lbs even though my eating habits are the same. My Dr. put me on these to shrink an ovarian cyst but I'm not sure the side effects are worth it....am going to ask to be switched to lower estrogen pill.

I have been on Ovcon 35 for about 6 months but I have always had breakthrough bleeding in late cycle, usually about 5 days before my actual period comes. The bleeding comes in full fledge and it's heavier than my normal period before I started taking the pill. I took Alesse before but I had breakthrough bleeding as well, so the doc switched me to Ovcon thinking the higher estrogen could help with the breakthrough bleeding. Ovcon actually made my periods heavier. I have done some research and realized that if women have late cycle breakthrough bleeding, they should try something with lower estrogen and higher progestin. I'm going to switch to Yasmin and see if it works.
