I have been on Ovcon35 for about 8 months and have experienced the effects as everyone else. I started taking it to eleminate my periods b/c of endometriosis and I have only not had any problems for six weeks out of the 8 months. Since mid October I have not had any sign of bleeding for only five days out of almost two months. This is not normal I'm making an appointment with another ob/gyn to get a second opinion. This is driving me crazy and my husband is getting impatient.

I have been on birth control for about 4 years now. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis the worst stage there could possibly be. I have been on the Ovcon 50 for 2 years this birth control has helped me keep the endometriosis under control. However, since I started taking this birth control I started noticing a lot of changes in my body, I gained about 15 lbs, I have terrible headaches, break through bleeding, fatigue, very moody, bloated, and the worst is the lack of sex drive . I mean, it is completely gone. I can only blame this on the Ovcon. I made an appointment to talk to my doctor about this situation because it is something that is ruining my personal life.
I forgot to mention that I am on this pill continuously; I do not have periods, so the break through bleeding is normal.
My partner and I have been trying to figure out what has caused me to become who I am now. I blame this on the Ovcon and when I go see my Doctor, I am asking him to give me a different type of birth control. When I look back, I see that since I started the Ovcon 50 my life has changed, I was trying to blame this on my Endometriosis. I am 100% sure; Ovcon is causing me all the side effects I have. I would not recommend anyone to take this pill

I started taking Ovcon 35 in March, and only bled for a day. I haven't missed any and my periods supposed to be here and I have yet to see it. I don't think I'm pregnant, as i haven't missed any pills, just don't know what to think. I do/have cramps and breast tenderness though. Anyone else having these symptoms?

I started Ovcon about 4 weeks ago. I'm not having sex now and I started back on the pill too see if I felt better being on it. I'm still trying it out. In the past I've lost weight on Ovcon and my periods have been very short and light. I've already noticed a decrease in my appetite. I've been somewhat moody but I know that my body is going to go thru some sort of change with these hormones. SO far, I like it and wouldn't change it.

I have been taking Ovcon for a month now. I have gained 5+ pounds and have EXTREME Fatigue!!! I was thinking I might have Mono, but it looks more like it is due to this pill. I also had two periods this month. :(

I have been on Ovcon 35 for about a year now. Only within the last three months have I started having side effects such as vaginal dryness, periods that last 10-14 days, dark blood, and almost like clots when I do have my period.

I have been on Ovcon 35 for about 6 months but I have always had breakthrough bleeding in late cycle, usually about 5 days before my actual period comes. The bleeding comes in full fledge and it's heavier than my normal period before I started taking the pill. I took Alesse before but I had breakthrough bleeding as well, so the doc switched me to Ovcon thinking the higher estrogen could help with the breakthrough bleeding. Ovcon actually made my periods heavier. I have done some research and realized that if women have late cycle breakthrough bleeding, they should try something with lower estrogen and higher progestin. I'm going to switch to Yasmin and see if it works.

Depression. The only other side effects were: a little rash on my face around my mouth, my periods were shorter, it also made my breasts 1 cup size bigger (but I didn't gain weight elsewhere! Nice!). I was on it for four months and would still be on it if it didn't make me depressed. Overall, good pill. I've been on some really scary ones in the past that gave me hair loss.

I started taking ovcon about 3 months ago. i was on depoprovera for 6 years and my hormone levels became insanly off balanced. I liked the pill at first. It actually helped me lose a few pounds (curved my hunger) and my boobs went up a full cup size. i had an increased sex drive but can't have sex very often because whenever i would have an orgasm i would have this brownish secretion for a few days after. i read that this has something to do with the bill affecting my liver. my periods were pretty normal which was good being as i hadn't had one in 6 years. but i constantly have an upset stomach, terrible constipation, and mood swings. i'ver also had trouble sleeping.

I started taking ovcon about 2 weeks ago to regulate my crazy periods. I've never been on BC - didn't care for side effects. But with this, every night my calves ache and I feel that I am moodier than ever. I'm calling my OBGYN today. I'd rather have weird cycles than this?!

I have been on Ovcon35 for 4 months now and cant wait to switch. For the first 2 months I was experiencing regular breakthrough bleeding on every Wed in the 2nd week of active pills. On top of that my periods started getting progressively lighter(2-3) days of almost nothing, and later, (last month I started on Tue, and this month I still didn;t start). I was pretty concerned until I read here that other women are experiencing similar symptoms, Another thing is the weight issue. I gained about 5lb and really struggled to keep it at only 5lb.!!!

I have been taking ovcon 35 for about three months and my periods have been irregular, i have been getting them about 5 days before schedule and then it stops as I start taking the placebo "white" pills in the pack. My periods also vary in heavyness...is this normal?

i LOVE Ovcon 35. i have tried 3-4 diffn't BC Pills and have come back to Ovcon. I lost weight (of course, with daily life style changes) and have not experienced any "bad" side effects. My periods last 2/3 days and i get my period on the same day each month. To avoid any naseau from BC Pills, a hint from my gyno is to take your pill before bedtime, so that you sleep through any naseausness. I have not experienced any emotional imbalances associated with Ovcon (you know, the psycho/schitzo/tearful dramas). Ovcon will be with me until I NEED to go off the pill. Highly recommend this pill

I have been taking Ovcon 35 for 2 months. The first month I did not start my period until the Thursday (instead of Sunday) after my last active pill. This is the second month and I haven't started yet & it is the Friday after my last active pill. I am not unhappy about this because I switched pills because my periods were so heavy before & the Dr. suggested this one. I was just a little concerned with being so late.

I have been taking Orthotricylen for the past 5 years and last month I took Ovcon. My periods have always been heavy and dicomforting. This is the first time I have had my period since being on Ovcon - and all it I am doing is a few spots here and there with the same discomfort. Has anyone else had this?
