This is to #31213. I too was on Paxil for 6 months. It took me 4 months to get off that damn pill. This is how I got off it.
_reduce dosage untill you get to lowest dosage.
_Then only take pill every other day or third day(few weeks)
_Then cut pill in half and take every other day or every day (what ever works) Try to go to every other day in some time
_Then cut the half pill into another half (take a few weeks)
_Continue to lower dosage this way until you are only able to lick the powder because the dosage is so low.

When living your days with those awful dizzy spells and brain attacks, Look forward and down throughout the day as much as possible. Try not to turn your head alot! This will help the dizzyness somewhat!

I had all the same effects your girlfriend did and my doctor also said to go to 0 dosage or stay on. That was bull ****! I found the right way from reading other storys! Good Luck!

I've been taking Paxil CR for over a year now for anxiety attacks and mild depression. I haven't had any problems with it until recently when my prescription ran out and my mom hasn't called the doctor to re-order it (I'm 17). I've had a chronic migraine for 3 days, dizzy spells where I have to hold onto things when I walk to keep from falling, nausea, difficulty breathing, and a racing pulse. I'm convinced these symptoms are withdrawls from not taking the Paxil for over a week. I, too, have had an overactive sex drive from Paxil. The constant feeling of being on the verge of an orgasm is truly annoying. Glad to know I'm not the only person with that problem.

Have taken a 30 day round of Paxill CR 12.5mg and have been off for 8 days. While on the drug my hands shook so bad I could not write or hold a cup. My heart raced and I had dizzy spells. It did, however; allow my current stress/anxiety level to become tollerable. My thinking was much more clear. Now that I am off I have noticed diminished shaking and racing. Jan 23,2003

I've had Fibromyalgia for a long time. The #1 thing, is to have a positive attitude. Get info. about this disease. Get moving. Start out slowly. Do what you are able to do, nothing more and nothing less. I know its hard to keep moving. But if u dont, ur stuck with no life. I've been down this road too. Get some physical therapy. I have found, for me, that pool therapy is the best. I dont have as much gravity to deal with in a swimming pool. The water seems to hold u up. Get involved in som...

I have tried herbal remedies, acupuncture, body stress release, dietician, exercise, pain killers, massage, physio, posture modifying appliance, bean bags and oils, ice pack, pilates, chiropractor, daily meds like inderal and trepiline and still, nothing has been able to give me long te...

I was given the fantastic news that my body doesn't like itself anymore. I don't know when it had a falling out, but all I can say is the course of action to remedy this disease is CRAZY. Taking meds that have more side effects and the restrictions on my daily life, because of the meds, no driving, no salt, no sugar, and little fat in my diet, very little sun. Bathing in skin moisturizer, moodiness, mental confusion, can't work, but expected to continue cooking for family, and cleaning. Which I guess ...

My partner insists that he's not drunk & he's just very tired. He has slured speech, incoherent, unsteady on his feet & drops off to sleep in the blink of an eye. Could it be something other that drink related? or is he just pretending to himself he's ok?
