Severe pain in my lower abdomen. So severe I could not stand straight to walk. Went off the medication for two weeks. Decided to try again because I thought it could have been the flu. The same pain came back in my lower abdomen. I started vomiting and had to go to bed. I went to the doctor and had ex-rays of the area. It has been months and the pain is still so severe that I have a hard time eating or using the bathroom. It's kind of like a cramping pain that makes me want to bring my knees up to my chest to stop the pain. It is a constant pain and never goes away. I am always sick since I took that Plavix.

I am a 55 year old female. I had a heart attack in July -08. I had a stent placed. Since then I have been on Plavix, Lopressor, Lisinopril and Lipitor. I have been back to the Hospital 2 times since then. The first time they found nothing. The second time I had to have another stent place because the first one didn't work. This last time they did another catheter and found nothing. I have episodes every couple days of Light headedness, heart pounding, stomach upset, confusion , really bad burping and sometimes diarrhea. I am at my wits end. I have lost 30 lbs and am weak most of the time. I was very active before all this and can't get back on my feet. When I ask about the medicines, the doctors say I don't think it's that. Someone please help!

I am having difficulty breathing. I have been on plavix for 3 months and the entire time have had this problem. There is pressure and it is hard to get my breath. It gets worse if I try to move around more. It comes on like an attack. I also get bad headaches. Has anyone else out there had this problem breathing while on Plavix or any other blood thinners? Any input would be very much appreciated.

my husband has been on plavix for about 6 months. He had a heart attack and had a couple stents. He also was a drug addict hut he quit for 4 months he was doing good. unfortunately he started using again (methamphetamines) he also started drinking alcohol not a good combination. I was always telling him that he is trying to kill himself. Well he was feeling great according to him and he felt great, well just yesterday hi went to the restroom and he said that his urine had blood clot and blood. He said the doctor told him he had to quit using meth he said he swore he would. I'm not sure if he is telling me everything or if there is more to this. Has anyone wad blood clots in there urine? I understand these circumstances are different my husband being a drug addict but i need some help is it more than what he is telling me.

After taking Plavix for one month, I experienced a constant sour taste in my mouth (like bad dairy products). Within 24 hours of being taken off Plavix, my normal sense of taste was restored.

My husband started taking Plavix a couple of months ago, in addition to Verapamil. Within about 3 weeks of taking Plavix, he suffered a complete loss of taste. He cannot taste anything. He can smell. He has lost 25 pounds, is weak. A couple of days ago, his doctor took him off Plavix and put him on another drug, although the doctor states that he has never heard of loss of taste from this drug, but I found 2 articles that stated "taste disturbance" can be a side effect of this drug. Has anyone else experienced this with Plavix.

Plavix: two major bleeding episodes requiring emergency services: one, a two-hour nosebleed and two, a two hour gastro-intestinal hemmorhage of CLOTTED blood. After stopping Plavix, the bleeding episodes stopped. Events occurred after two weeks on drug.

I feel a tingling sensation throughout my body, its like you can feel something traveling through your veins. I'm not sure if it is cleaning out my veins and I am feeling small particles of what ever floating away in my bloodstream. I also feel like I am burning up from the inside out, my temp is normal but you get this burning feeling throughout your body. I got on the internet to find out if this is normal, but it says that there are no side effects for the drug PLAVIX. If you have any side effects like mine please feel free to inform me, Thank you.

My new doctor put me on lisinopril in additon to verapamil and plavix which had been taking for over five years.
When I began having nose bleeds and bleeding piles, he implied it was the plavix, so I reduced it more and more.
But am now convinced it was the lisinopril.
Finally I have stopped lisinopril and will see what happens when I again take more plavix.

My mother-in-law is on this medication. I don't understand why. She has had a stroke. Can this med. cause this? Why is plavix used anyway?

my 85 yr old father had a slight heart attack recently. they put in a stent and a pace maker and sent him home with a slew of prescriptions- lipitor, plavix for 4 weeks, 2 BP meds, nexium for his daily baby aspirin.
he decided to only take the baby aspirin and a licorice supplement i gave him to protect his stomach instead of the nexium.
his doctor talked him into taking plavix for 14 days but he gave up on lipitor. he knew dad would never take it.
anyway, i talked to dad tonight and he stopped taking plavix after just 9 days. he didn't like the way it made him feel. he said it made him tired. he felt great before he started taking it and he's feeling better now that he's stopped
