I have been on Premarin for 10 years...The only side effect I have noticed has been a slight weight gain...I feel the best I have ever felt. I tried going off and trying the all natural meds....that was a nightmare...hot flashes..mood swings and just plain misery....went back on Premarin and felt great again...

I would like to know if anyone knows if this medication promotes hair growth. I would like to add that I have noticed that it gives you a yellowish discharge like the pharmacy info sheet says it could possibly do. I hate that. I've gotten used to the idea of not having a period and never having any type of discharge afterwards. I can say that it has not helped with my hot flashes. By the way can anyone tell me if this medicine enlarges your breast I think that it has given me half a cup in size.

My Premarin does not seem to be working at all. My hot flashes are back and my hair is thinner and thinner. It does cause this problem with hair but I'd rather not be dripping 2-3 x a day! My doctor says to keep taking it as it has worked in the past. I checked into www.safetyalerts.com and found that the drug manufacturer has recalled many dosages for failure to dissolve. No wonder it doesn't work!

I've just started taken premarin for a week. But already am experiencing a decrease in my hot flashes and night sweats, which were extreme.

I have been in surgical menopause for 3 weeks now. I was put on Premarin .6 mg 2 weeks ago. For those last 2 weeks, I have been so constantly nauseous, occasionally vomiting. I'm lucky to eat 2 pieces of toast & a cup of tea each day! Still having hot flashes, not as soaking wet as before but still pretty uncomfortable.
