Protonix side effects

I have taken 40mg of protonix for two weeks and I get severe foot and leg cramps, particularly at night. I stop taking the protonix and the cramps go away. Due to severe GERD. I need to take something. Is there any alternative medication or some treatment to offset the cramps? My arms and fingers hurt, my extremities seen to be losing feeling,

I have been taking Protonix for about 8 months and it was "reasonably effective" until I moved, changed doctors and was immediately put on Lisinopril for my blood pressure. Indigestion is a daily event once again. I suspect it is the Lisinopril that is causing the problem.

I get terrible hunger pangs from Protonix, even right after a meal!! It seems to MAKE me hungry all the time. So did the others like Prilosec, Prevacid, etc. Must be the whole class. Only these drugs do this to me! That's the only side effect I get, but it sure stops the heartburn!

Ive been taking protonix for over a month and i stay sleepy , lethargic and so tired. Ive been getting left side temple head aches that are so aggrivating.I wake up in the night with temple headaches and ive not been sleeping good. I dont know if this has anything to do with protonix, but ive been hurting above my knee in my left leg and it just throbs. Any suggestions?

I have been on Protonix for about 6 weeks and I am having difficulty in emptying my bladder. Is there any connection? I haave already had surgery for this problem. I am a 64 year old female.

I've been loosing massive amounts of hair the last three weeks... same amount of time I've been taking 40mg daily of Protonix. Anyone else with the same side effect?

I'm not sure if Protonix is the cause of my cronic constipation but I read that there is someone else with the same side affect. I would like to know if there are others with the same side affect so that I could be more certain that it is caused from the Protonix.

I have become allergic to mustard, since taking Protonix.

I find that every time I eat mustard, the whole inside of my mouth, including my gums, tongue and the roof of my mouth, become swollen, painful and feel like they have been scalded.

This never happened before taking Protonix

I took Protonix for like 4 days and I became so constipated that I could barely walk. It felt like my colon and my intestines were completely dried up and it was so painful. I quickly switched my prescription to Aciphex and the acid reflux was gone for good within a week.

Can I take Protonix while in my second trimester?

I have had no problems with erections. Protonix has been like a miracle for my overbearing acid reflux.

I have been taking 40mg of Protonix daily for months now. I agree with the above posting, it is the best releif I have ever found for stomach problems. I used to be plagued with severe heartburn waking me up in the middle of the night. I would get heartburn from spicy foods, ice water, and numerous other things. I have honestly not had heartburn once since I started taking the Protonix. I took it initially for two weeks and thought I could stop taking it after that. All my symptoms returned on day one of not taking the rx. I have been on it ever since with no noticeable side effects.

I'm in my mid-twenties and took 40 mg of Protonix around 1000am. About 12 hours later, I was unable to get an erection while with my girlfriend. I've read elsewhere online that the inability to achieve an erection is a possible side effect of Protonix.
