I love Quasense. I have been on it for about a year and a half. For the first year, I took it for the 3 month, would have a very short period for the placebo week and I had no breakthrough bleeding. My gynecologist told me I could skip the placebo week and start the new pack to avoid having a period at all. Every once in a while I will have spotting when I start the next pack after not taking the placebo, but its very light. Other than that, I have not gained any weight, my appetite is the same, I don't have nausea. I don't have any cramping, I don't have mood swings, it improved my acne. Other birth controls I have taken in the past has made me gain weight, or given my acne or made me nausea. I love this stuff.

I am really sorry for everyone out there that had bad experiences with Quasense. I had been taking this pill for 9 months and I loved it. It had cleared up my acne and I had absolutely no spotting, my periods were lighter and they would usually last for about 2-3 days. The only side effect I had were daily headaches. I do suffer from migraines every once in a while so these headaches were nothing compared to migraines, but they started coming everyday. I talked with my mom about it and she said it could be from the pills. So I stopped taking them. The headaches went away, but other things came back. I started getting acne again, my cramping got worse. I went back to my doctor and I was prescribed an antibiotic for my acne, and a regular birth control that I can take for 3 weeks and I just skip the dummy pills and start a new pack like the Quasense. Still to this day I haven’t gotten rid of my acne and that was my only reason for going on the pill. I want to get back on Quasense because I think the headaches are worth a pretty face. And from reading all the posts I think I got off lucky with just the headaches. Or I might even consider Seasonale if everyone says its so great.

I was on Jolessa too, but got switched to Quasense. I have gained thirteen pounds in the five weeks I have been on it, and for the last two weeks, I have really made sure I was eating right (nutritionist) and I work out five days per week and yet the scale keeps going up. ???????????? I feel like a cow. This pill has to go. Like someone else said, I would rather be thin and happy. I also get weird brownish discharge, and am moody. I also recently had a zit and I am way too old for that to start: I am headed for my 30s and have never had acne. I feel bloated so I just ditched most carbs and am eating according to South Beach. I am desperate to get back into my skinny pants. I was a size 4 or 6 before I gained weight on this pill. Now I had to buy some bigger stuff and I am unhappy with my appearance. I think I am going to switch to an IUD.

I have been taking Quasense for almost 8 weeks now and have probably been bleeding for about 4 of those weeks. This is the first bc I've ever taken, so I imagine some of it could be due to my body adjusting, but with so many women saying that they did not have problems with Seasonale, I'm beginning to have second thoughts. I had no problem the first 2 weeks, and when I began light bleeding on the 3rd week, I didn't think it was a big deal especially with it being fairly light compared to my usual cycle. It lasted for a week and 1/2, but I never had to wear anything more than a panty liner. My cycle was also typically closer to every 3 1/2 weeks rather than 4 without a pill, so I figured my body was probably just getting used to things. About 2 1/2 weeks ago I started bleeding again. It has still been lighter than my normal cycle, but much more than I would consider spotting. My wedding is in a little over a month and I'm not sure what to do. Switching to a new pill could cause problems too, but I don't want to be bleeding through my entire honeymoon in Mexico. I have not had any other negative symptoms though. No weight gain, no acne, no moodswings.

Do NOT take Quasense. I was on Seasonale for a full cycle (3 months) and had no side effects. Then Quasense came out and my insurance refused to cover Seasonale. Now I have had terrible spotting (not even spotting, it is a period without the cramps). I had bleeding for 3 weeks straight, it stopped for a week, and now it's been going again for another 3 weeks. The entire pill pack is a waste because even when I get to the end of the pack all I have is yet ANOTHER period. Quasense also caused stomach irritation and made me sick after eating anything dairy- and I have never been lactose intolerant. I am getting off of this pill ASAP.

I had been on a monthly birth control pill when I was sixteen to give me a period, but now that I'm seventeen I was put on quasense, and I'm thinking about throwing the whole pack away. I have missed so much school due to severe migranes and vomiting...my skin loks awful, and it's not just my age because I have never had acne before. sometimes I get stabbing pains in my stomach randomly, and I have gained almost 10 pounds since being on it. Lemme tell you, don't take it if you can help it. me, I'm forced into taking it.

I started taking Quasense in September. I was fine for the first 2 weeks, and then suddenly started having period like symptoms; cramping, mood swings, tiredness. Then came the bleeding. It is now mid October, and for the last month I have had a off and on heavy clotting, cramps, diarehea. Also, I was never one to get pimples, and have been battling acne now. I have also had a major decrease in my sex drive. The only positive (which really makes no difference when I look at the negatives) is that I have lost a few pounds while on this pill. My prescription was for the brand name seasonale, however I took quasense because I was assured by my pharmacist that it was the same all except for price.
Let me assure you.... Quasense is definetly not worth ANY co-pay, no matter how cheap or expensive it is, this has definetly been worse then getting a period once a month, considering you have a period almost the entire pack. UGH.

I never had any problems with seasonale- my skin was very nice because of it actually, but when I switched to quasense I got horrible acne (never had this bad my whole life) and I was super moody and crying all the time. I'm switching back! Soooo not worth the cheaper price!
