Do NOT take Quasense. I was on Seasonale for a full cycle (3 months) and had no side effects. Then Quasense came out and my insurance refused to cover Seasonale. Now I have had terrible spotting (not even spotting, it is a period without the cramps). I had bleeding for 3 weeks straight, it stopped for a week, and now it's been going again for another 3 weeks. The entire pill pack is a waste because even when I get to the end of the pack all I have is yet ANOTHER period. Quasense also caused stomach irritation and made me sick after eating anything dairy- and I have never been lactose intolerant. I am getting off of this pill ASAP.

I had been on a monthly birth control pill when I was sixteen to give me a period, but now that I'm seventeen I was put on quasense, and I'm thinking about throwing the whole pack away. I have missed so much school due to severe migranes and vomiting...my skin loks awful, and it's not just my age because I have never had acne before. sometimes I get stabbing pains in my stomach randomly, and I have gained almost 10 pounds since being on it. Lemme tell you, don't take it if you can help it. me, I'm forced into taking it.

I have only taken the generic, but just realized that I have not been able to loose weight after having my baby. I also have had headaches and diarreha. I have had anxiety and depression. I have been to the dr. many times trying to figure out what is wrong with me. I have had chronic fatigue as well. I think this pill may be the reason i feel so bad. Has anyone else had these side effects?

I started taking Quasense around the end of May , when I first started taking it I was perfectly fine for the first month . Well I came on my period at the end of June which I wasn't expecting because your periods are only suppose to come every three months and I had just had a period before I had started taking the pill. Since the end of June I have been on my period , it stoped for about an week and came right back. I called an clinician and they said for the first three months of the pill your body is getting use to the hormones so I want to know will it eventuall stop soon, or what is going on with my body ,and also is this normal?

My sun has suffered from three years of age with stomach pain and discomfort uppon eating he is now 12 years old. We have seen many doctors all of whom are very vague. His blood work consistantly comes back with low amylase and lipase. Yet they dont see any need for further investigation. I have been told he has a sensitive stomach. As a mother I see more. I live with him and see him every day. He eats very little, (i think it still hurts) he says he's not in pain anymore. At nine he was still thr...

I was prescribed Seasonale for Endometriosis. My physician told me i didn't have to take the week of placebo pills and i could hold off my period indefinitely if i wanted to. This was over 4 years ago. I went nearly 4 years without a period, that is until Quasense came out and it was like Quasense was a placebo. Several weeks into it i started spotting. I switched back to Seasonale with no break through bleeding for another couple of years when i was given Quasense again through the pharmacy as a substitute. Here i am 5 weeks into this pill and bleeding once again. Seasonale held off my periods even on the placebo week. I think my body thinks im not on the pill at all with Quasense and it takes more than a few weeks on it to start the bleeding process since a week off of Seasonale didn't even start a period for me.
I called my pharmacy and told them about it and they said my insurance wouldnt pay for a new pack until it was time to refill it but they would call to see if they would override that and allow me to get Seasonale. Turns out the insurance company had no problems allowing me to get the name brand pill given the problems i am having on Quasense.
I am pleased to know that im not the only one to have this awfully heavy break through bleeding. I'd say in over 4 years of no periods on Seasonale that Quasense definitely has something different going on pharmaceutically- i dont care what they say about the active ingredients having to be the same to be equivalent!
