I was only on Seroquel for 5 days at 50mg, and have been off it for about a week, but my blood pressure has jumped from about 118/85 to 140/89. The medical professionals that I have encountered seem indifferent, but I have cold and clammy pulsating in my throat, I feel my pulse everywhere (which is at 98 bpm), I keep sweating, and I have this overall tinging sensation like things are "falling asleep". Is it possible that it is associated with the Seroquel?

After being on Seroquel for almost 5 years, I have become so constipated that I will go days without having a bowel movement. And when I do have a bowel movement, I would have severe cramping and the bowel movement would come out so large that it would clog the toilet. I hate this drug! I mean, I eat my fruits and vegetables and I'm even eating prunes. Another day goes by, another two days goes by. And not only do I NOT have any bowel movements umm... but my fasting blood sugar and blood pressure skyrocketed and when I say skyrocketed, I'm not talking a couple points. I'm talking close to 20 points. I'm THIS close to getting metabolic syndrome! And after the blood sugar and the blood pressure, I am now dealing with ACNE!!! I have these severe breakouts that I cannot control.I'm now on a prescription for my acne that I started today. I don't get it! I lost 102 pounds in a year in a half, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs and I don't have sex. How could something like this happen to me? My doctor is a total moron and she just sits there and does nothing! I need to get off of this drug, PLEASE!!!

I was on a combination of Seroquel and Depakote. My doctor took me off Depakote and increased my Seroquel from 300 mg to 600 mg to compensate. The first time I took the 600mg dose I ended up in the emergency room because it paralyzed me! My blood pressure was 80/40.
And, to add insult to injury, I had to eat the $750 ER bill because my health insurance disallowed it.

Ive been on Seroquel for quite some time now, I asked my doctor too get me off. I am also on Lithium and Welbutrin. I have lost 45 pounds. Which isnt a horrible thing but with out Seroquel I am awake all the time. I stay up for days. After day three i break down and take a Seroquel and wake up with the worse body aches ever. It feels like someone beat me up with a metal bat and put me back in bed. If I don't sleep for at least 11 hours I cannot get up and function much less do any daily activities. It also makes my depression worse, on top of my lithium. The bodyaches I cannot do any more.

started taking seoquel 25 mg an hour before sleep, then 50 mg. went up to 75mg because i wasn't "tired" enough to sleep. it was working okay, but my friends had warned me that i might experience weight gain and absolutely uncontrollable hunger for carbs and sweets. and as a 46 yo woman that already weighed 200 lbs. that was not a happy prospect. but i ignored that; maybe it would be different for me. btw, i am diagnosed as bipolar 2 and am taking lamotrigine, celexa, lithium and now seroquel. i was in a couple months ago for anxiety and loss of time, for lack of a better term. my pdoc told be to get off the 75mg of benadryl i was taking and gave me samples of seroquel to help me sleep, etc.. so, after experiencing weight gain, sore breasts, bigger stomach (i don't have a scale), labored breathing when walking to the freakin' mailbox and feeling like a truck has run over me for at least half the day, then anxiety immediately following, i have decided to pitch the seroquel. also, i am going off lithium and my blood pressure med (i was taking that for migraines associated with pre menstruation and now am menopausal). i'm going to start melatonin again (which i used for years and it worked) when i'm weaned off the evil seroquel... sigh. and no, the docs DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT GAIN!!!! THEY JUST WANT TO KEEP YOU ALIVE AND UPRIGHT IF POSSIBLE! i'm more depressed knowing i could easily balloon upwards to god-knows-what. so if your doc hands you "free" samples of seroquel, please keep track of your symptoms. maybe it will work for you but be cautious, please!
