My doctor just put me on singulair a few weeks ago. I seem to have noticed
that I just feel out of sorts -- sort of mild flu symptoms. I feel like my mind is cloudy
some forgetfulness, increased clumsiness and some dizziness.
Weakness, some fatigue and irritability.
I stopped taking in a day or so and then resumed. They flu-like symptoms have resumed. I will
discontinue it and return to Claritin and decongestants.

My daughter is 5 years old and she started taking Singulair two months ago. The medicine has been doing good when it comes to her asthma but starting in February we have felt like me have been loosing our sweet little daughter. It all started when we thought she came down with the flu at the very end of January it seemed like a mild flu because she only got sick maybe 3 times but she had a fever for a week. After she was done with the flu she started complaining all day long that her stomach was hurting her this has continued for a month now none stop. She has also been complaining that she could not blow her nose none stop for a month now. She has not been eating well and that is not normal for her this also has been going on for a month now. We thought that this was because she just wanted attention and so we just have been telling her to go lay down and she will feel better but it never seems to work.
In the past two weeks my daughter has went from a energetic happy little girl to depressed, angry little girl with a flip of a switch my husband and I were really starting to get worried and were contemplating setting up an appointment with a specialist. Last night we were talking and my husband asked me what the side effects are to her Singulair so I read it to him and well looks like we found our culprit every symptom that was on that little side effect paper was what my daughter had been experiencing I feel so horrible that my poor daughter has been feeling so bad for the past month something has got to be done so this does not happen to any other innocent child.
