I've been on Sronyx for three months. The entire first month I spotted everyday and I didn't have a normal period. It caused a lot of breast tenderness and still does occasionally. Though it does decrease my periods, I am having very intense mood swings. I have always been a level headed person but now I find myself getting upset with my boyfriend over stupid things. I have also been crying a lot for no reason at all. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could switch to.

Walgreens discontinued my old bc pill and switched me to sronyx 2 months ago. The first month i was on sronyx i noticed increased irritability and RAGE. i knew instantly it was the hormones because they were unusual feelings for me. Also, i've been experiencing body aches, from my shoulders to my legs, and headaches. I’ve switched to a different pharmacy and am going back to my old pill. Bye Bye sronyx and your yucky side effects, two months was enough for me.

DO NOT TAKE AS A BIRTH CONTROL PILL!!! THE DOSE IS NOT ENOUGH TO PREVENT PREGNANCY. WORST SIDE EFFECTS OF ANY PILL I,VE BEEN ON. IT IS NOT A GENERIC OF ANY OTHER PILL. NOR IS IT MEANT TO BE A BCP. IF YOU WERE SWITCHED TO THIS BY YOUR PHARMACY (IN MY CASE WALGREENS) GO TO YOUR DOCTOR ASAP TO SWITCH TO SOMETHING ELSE. AND REPORT THE PHARMACY. MY DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT THIS PILL IS BASICALLY AN "OLD LADY HORMONE PILL". IT IS AGAINST THE LAW FOR A PHARMACY TO SWITCH YOUR MEDICINE EVEN MORE SO WHEN IT IS SWITCHED TO SOMETHING OTHER THAN WHAT YOU WERE TAKING IT FOR.

I just finished my first pack of Sronyx. The side effects I experienced were frequent of spotting the first 10 days, very tender (GIANT) breasts, and increased anger and irritability.

The spotting was annoying, just because it felt like my period took extra long 10 days longer) to go away. As for my breasts, they got so much bigger that my friends started to ask about it. I didn't gain weight anywhere else though, which I'm happy about. I've also been getting irritated and angry a lot, which is very strange because I usually it takes a lot to get me upset. For instance, I got really really angry because my boyfriend and I were having a conversation and I thought he was talking too much. Usually I'm extremely easy going, I really enjoy listening and I would never notice something like that..

Anyway, my doctor said that the spotting will probably stop after a few more packs. I'm going to keep trying it out and see if these side effects lessen as my body gets used to the drug.

I had been on Levlite for years and this was the first time my insurance switched me to a generic. I thought nothing of it until about 8 days in, when I developed serious breast tenderness, bleeding gums from 2 different inflammations (and I have great oral health), headaches and depression -- stayed on for another two weeks while negotiating with my insurance, and added weight-gain to the list of joys associated with Sronyx. I switched back to Levlite until it went off the market, and I've been using Lutera for the last three weeks -- no side-effects yet...

I was perscribed Allese about a year ago, but my insurance only covers generic medicine. So i was put on Lutera for about 8 months. Just recently the pharmacist said that my new pill would be Sronyx and honestly, i dont trust it as much. My headaches are becoming very severe and almost a daily occurance now plus i've heard that its not as effective.
my period doesn't come on the sugar-pill days... it always comes about a week before. my doctor reccomended this: continuously taking Sronyx and skipping the sugar-pill days. I move from the end of the white pills on week three right to the beginning of a new pack. lately its helped a lot. the continuousy of it is really helping i think. so thats my suggesting to anyone whos having trouble.

it stopped the cramps and breast tenderness, but i get my period about a week early every freakin month! and then just spot a bit when i am supposed to have it. its relaly getting annoying! i think i need to switch. i also get awful headaches whihc i usually attribute to allergies but i see that headaches and trouble wearing contacts is a listd side effect so now im wondering about that too.
