Taxotere side effects

My mam has just had her 3rd does of Taxotere for secondry breast cancer. She is struggling to talk slurring her words and she is struggling to walk. To look at her she looks drunk. She was due to have her chemo today but they have stopped it for the time being!!

Have extreme swelling of left leg from ankle to above knee. It is so bad that I can only wear flip flops. This ankle was injured in May and taxotere was started the following Oct. The doctor today tested me for possible blood clots which proved negative. Now they say that it is more than likely side effect from taxotere but its only on one leg which they find strange. Any ideas?

very red face.

pain when swallowing.

fatigue.

nails crumbling.

delayed (week or so) reaction with these except for red face which was right away but lasted only couple of days.

Under the nails there is a second layer of thick hard skin.It it like a second nail splitting.On my toe it seems to be turning in forming an ingrown layer.It is vey painful when knocked.it looks like a bad fungus but does not itch.
I also have the excessive tearing especially when in an airconditioned room and tearing at other times.

had one treatment of taxotere at end of march, 2003 and had such severe reactions, i discontinued use.

Now I have severe joint pain in legs and ankles. I have difficulty walking, my hands also have pain. Can you shed some light on this. I have been to many doctors.

Really bad migraine type headaches
