Toprol-XL and antidepressant

I have been taking Toprol xl 50mg for about a year now, and I feel so tired and depressed. My antidepressant seems to have stopped working and it is hard to function and get the things that have to be done, done...Everyday it just seems to get worse, seems I just can't get caught up on job and household. It's hard just to get out of bed and get dressed! Major effort! What an awful feeling! My legs hurt all the time, I thought maybe it was just aches and pains from aging, I am 51. I want to get off this medication. Please help.

I've been on Toprol xl 25 mg for a month for afib. Have gained ten pounds, can't remember what is supposed to be at the end of my sentences...really forgetting everything. Tired, tired, tired. And depression is worsening - I thought I had it licked iwth an antidepressant, but it feels like I'm not taking it anymore!
