I failed to mention this drug was prescribed 50 mg 1 tablet four times daily I took it twice daily as the third dose made me dizzy, dry mouth, and head tingly. It did help relieve pain better than three acetaminophen three times daily.

I have a central disc bulge in lowest back I have tried many many types of medicines Tramadol worked and at first I felt a pinched feeling in the center of my skull I told my doctor and we gave time to adjust to medicine. Shortly after I started sweating heavily and I used it still as I was able to sit and stand and had greater mobility. I then started to get shaky alot and confused finally my groin started hurting and about a week later went numb my doctor then put me back on hydrocodone . Eat before use to avoid heavy nausea.

I have had numerous side effects with tramadol (nausea, heart skipping beats, restless legs at night) but I was too desperate and needed something so I just started taking 2 half pills a day (total of 50 mg). Well, now I've quit after about 2 years because I have sudden onset swelling and tendinitis in both of my achilles tendons. There was absolutely no trauma involved and tramadol was my only medication. After doing research online, I found that this is a rare side effect to some other medications but it hasn't been mentioned for tramadol. I truly believe this is a side effect that just hasn't been reported yet. Also, it can lead to both tendons rupturing. I just hope I stopped the medication in time so that it doesn't lead to that. It's only been a few days and I have a lot of pain and difficulty with stairs. I think this will take a while to get over -- like all orthopedic related problems.

tramadol has been great for me . I have mod to severe joint pain and it is the only thing that helps. Curbs my appetite so I have been able to lose weight. Gives me great energy so I am by far in a better mood . Only negatives about it are Dry mouth and mild constipation .

Horrible side effects. Had sinus infection so was also taking Avelox, took 2 tramadol for pain for 3 bulging discs and face pain associated with sinus infection. Pills were spaced out over 7 hours. Then BAM I wake up about 3:30 a.m. itching all over and then progress to vertigo and nausea. The Avelox brought its own set of symptom, which I didn't realize for a few days after the Tramadol was out of my system. The whole experience sent me to the urgent care, then by ambulance to hospital. I HATE TAKING MEDS.

I seem to be lucky, due to back accident17 years ago I have suffered with aching back at night,(I had knee ligament operated on last year and that pain is how I describe my back pain)(before op),I`ve tried co-codamols and anti-imflams to help back pain, didn`t work, physio, didn`t work but with Tramadol it eased it straight away,I do occasionally get itchy skin with it but then I always have suffered sensitive itchy skin,so I can deal with that,I also find this as a bit of a miracle drug, since suffering a virus over eleven years ago I`ve since suffered with feeling tired all the time and with no energy but again since taking ?Tramadol for my back its brought me up to a better level, It doesn't make me feel drowsy, maybe after reading other peoples experiences with Tramadol it looks like it works for some and not for others, just like all medication.
For me its a blessing.

I have steadily gained weight since I've been on Tramadol. Anyone else? I have always been very thin and am now much heavier then I have ever been. Dieting DOES NOT help. I am going to try and quit taking it despite the horrible withdrawal.

I experienced extreme dizziness, and felt very hot. It was almost like a continuous hot flash. This medication definitely relieved my pain but I will never take it again.

I was prescribed tramacet which did nothing for me.. Ralivia was useless.. but Tridural, which is a type of Tramadol, is working for me very well. I take 300mg slow-release tablets every 24 hours. It is, however, extremely dehydrating at first, and gives me difficulty urinating. I used to be up 7 times a night to pee, and then sat there and had to concentrate to pee! I just thought I would ask if anyone else had the following problem with Tridural: I had been taking it in the afternoon, and I was extremely lethargic and sluggish midday when it began to wear off. I also had insomnia at nighttime. After suffering like this for a few months, I finally clued in to what was causing this lack of energy, and I decided to experiment with the time I took my pill. When I took it before bed, I was wide awake at 5am ready to clean the house! When I waited till morning to take it, my pain was too severe to get out of bed, and I was sluggish again (from withdrawal). Finally I set my alarm and took it at 4:30am, and by 7:30 am I am feeling terrific and am full of energy all day long. I just thought it was important to share this since the time of day really made a huge difference to my quality of life.
-- By i_want_me_back | Reply | Private Message meBy the way, I am using Tridural for pain from "Enthesopathy" or migratory polyarthropathy. In my own words, all of my tendons in my body are weak and very painful. I have trouble walking and carrying my little kids, and some days I feel like all of my limbs are broken and I can't even function or be around my kids, they find it too upsetting.
