I was just prescribed this BC to replace my current one YAsmin, after reading the side affects of Yasmin, it seems thats where all my problems are from, now I am seeing some with this pill, I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who has been on it a little longer, Should I take it or forget the pill all together?

Ive only been on this pill for 1 month(Tri-levlen), I have just now gotten to the green pills ( the ones that are not supposed to do anything). I thought that when you reach these pills you were supposed to start your period, well nothing has happined. I also have a few other side effects such as :
Mood Swings
headaches
breast tenderness and growth
lower back pain (I may have slep wrong becasue this is the first day for this)
I was just wondering if any of you have ever had these problems, any advice would be nice.
Thank you for reading

I've never had any problems with the specific pain behind the ears, but I do wake up often with a variety of headaches, mostly at the nape of my neck. I've blamed it on the pillows until I have read your complaint. As well as headaches, i've also noticed a drastic change in my appetite. After taking the pills, i rarely find myself hungry anymore, is this normal?
I've recently noticed almost an over-sensitivity during sex with my husband. Neither of us have changed drastically, and sex is becomming to be very painful to the point of tears now. I'm wondering if this is due to my pills, which I am on my 4th pack, or if this is due to something entirely different. Is anyone else feeling this as well?

Since the day before I got my period for the first time using Tri-Levlen I experienced random headaches which I have heard is usual but I also got sharp needle like pains in my legs and in my right upper arm and occasional pains behind my ears that make me flintch sort of like recieving a cold chill but it was my head that did the flintching. The pains in my ears have continued through the entire time of being on my period. I have been on two different birth controls and this is my second one after having my daughter. I don't necassarily know how long these pains behind my ears are going to last, tomorrow should be my last day hopefully and these pains will go away. I have also gotten temperatures ranging in between 100.2 and 101.4 before getting my period. I can't say that the temperatures being high were from the pill or something I had eaten. I would like to know what some of the women out here have experienced and if they would recommend it to other people. I am going to try it for another month and if I experience the pains I have recieved this week again, I am planning on changing to another form of birth control hopefully Orhto Tri Cyclen. My doctor didn't tell me why she put me on this also if anyone knows some of the reason why this one can please tell me.

I experience restless leg syndrome with Levlen. In the past I have experienced this only as a result of anemia caused by heavy periods. Taking iron eliminated the sensations in the past.
