Ultracet and fibromyalgia

I've taken Ultracet for about 4 years almost every day, morning and night time and sometimes in the afternoon depending how severe my pain is. I take 2 pills each time. It does help take the edge off my pain. My doctor said my Fibromyalgia is as bad as it can get, plus I have severe arthritis through my whole body. I can hardly stand up straight and trouble walking. Ultracet seems to help better then Ultram for me. I'm concerned about how long I've taken Ultracet and damaging my liver or other organs. Does anyone know how long you can continue using Ultracet before it does damage. I'm very concerned about that issue because it does somewhat help with pain. I haven't noticed any side effects using Ultracet. If anyone knows how long you can stay on Ultracet without any harm, please post your knowledge or experience. Should I also have my blood monitored periodically?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and ultracet has helped me function. The pain from this disease is horrible and this is the only drug that helps it. I take it only when I'm in pain and I don't take it with any other thought in mind. I only take it for pain. To me, this medication is a miracle and I've been on it for over a year with no side effects. When I'm not in pain, I just don't take it, and it doesn't affect me in any way. Sometimes I think that medication does to you, what you want it to do. I don't feel hi when I take it, it just takes away the terrible pain...thank God for this drug.

I found out a few days ago that I have Fibromyalgia, a pain disease that has no cure and so far I have tried four different drugs to ease the pain a little , most days I can't walk or stand up straight. Last friday my dr prescribed ultracet two pills every six hours. I take them promptly each day. I have had no side effects but I have also not had any relief from my pain. I haven't noticed any difference or change in almost a week. I also take four flexeril a day and Mirapex at night , so far I haven't had any relief at all. I tried the hydrocodone but it knocked me out and I couldn't work or any thing but sleep.If any one has an idea I would like it if you could write back on this site and I will ask my dr. Thanx

I have been prescribed ultracet for Fibromyalgia I love this drug it has got me out of bed and gave me the strength i need. Hydrocodone was killing me, i recommend it to anyone with pain, give it time to work.

My dr. prescribed Ultracet for my fibromyalgia, and I'm to take two before bedtime. My husband reports that it makes me jerk all night long - very much like one does when you doze off and suddenly awake with a start. It also made my hands tremble the next morning. It's great for pain, but I'm not sure about these side effects.
