After I underwent the procedure for preparations for a dental crown, I experieinced bad headaches, earache and my many teeth would ache bably out of the blue. I took ultracet last night and my pain went away. However, about an hour after taking it, I felt dizzy, spacey, and then felt extreme sleepiness. Here it is, the next morning, I am at work, and I still feel a bit out of it. Glad it can relieve my pain but not sure if I want to experienced these side effects again.

I took two ultracet before bed (I had only previously taken one). I have hypertension and takes meds (Ziac) for it. After taking the ultracet I woke at 4am and felt like I was floating. I didn't sleep for the rest of the night and got up feeling like a truck had run over me and very very tired. I felt worse as the day progressed and started taking my blood pressure which was very low. At 1pm 15 hours after taking the pills my blood pressure was 85/47. My top number was never over 100 all day and the bottom was generally in the 50's and 60's. I didn't get a normal reading until the next morning. My dr said it was because I took two ultracet. If I wasn't supposed to why does it say 1-2 every 6 hours? Has anyone else experienced low bp with this drug? I'll never take two at a time again.

I took the prescribed dosage of Ultracet (2 caplets every 6 hrs as needed for pain) on Friday afternoon. It was prescribed for an injury to my wrist that resulted in prolonged swelling and pain. I took it on an empty stomach because the directions said it would make no difference and would speed absorption. About 30 minutes later I ate. Big mistake. I had severe nausea and a dizzy, woozy feeling. I did vomit but must have retained enough of the drug as I was still groggy 8 hours later. I rode it out all night and did not take the recommended dosage after 6 hours. No pain though. I decided the dosage was too much for me and took one pill, with food, the next morning. I spent all day in the recliner, fading in and out, and letting the Movie Channel watch me! The Ultracet relieved my pain...I think. I certainly did not have the intense pain I had suffered but I also lost my ability to function. I stopped taking the medication. There is no way I could drive or work while taking Ultracet. I had enough trouble navigating the hallway.

I took my first prescribed dose, and it felt like I drank 20 cups of coffee, and the effects lasted all night and the next morning! It also made me enormously irritable and grouchy, not to mention I did NOT get one minute of sleep all night, and I took my first and only dose at 6 pm, early evening. What is worse is that my doctor basically called me a liar by stating he's never heard of that happening when I told him about my reaction. He also believes this drug is better and safer then hydrocodone! He said that ultracet is not narcotic, which is not the information I've found out about it.

VERY dizzy and feel disoriented, my dr. prescribed ultracet to me for my chronic neck pain, i have tried everything you can think of to help ease the pain, nothing helped until this med. however it does make me really dizzy, especially noticeable the next morning, i litterally feel like my eyes are crossing a feeling i get when i am extrememly sleepy. this time when i took my ultracet last nite, i also began itching, it seems unlikely that it is an allergic reaction to the medication because i ahve taken before and taken it several times with this not happening. i also noticed i am very grumpy when i take it, i never would have thought it was because of the ultracet until i read it on here! all in all i think this is a good medication for people who have pain and nothing has worked for them....

My dr. prescribed Ultracet for my fibromyalgia, and I'm to take two before bedtime. My husband reports that it makes me jerk all night long - very much like one does when you doze off and suddenly awake with a start. It also made my hands tremble the next morning. It's great for pain, but I'm not sure about these side effects.

Even though my MD told me to take two Ultracet before bed for my chronic neck and back pain, I only took one. I'm glad I only took one, because I had the hardest time breathing and my chest felt very constricted! I got kind of scared that I would pass out and stop breathing altogether. Eventually, my breathing improved and the pain subsided, however, it came back with a vengence along with nausea when I woke up the next morning. The next night, I took half a pill, but the effects were the same but slightly diminished. I've decided to leave Ultracet alone as I'm afraid that I'll stop breathing when I fall asleep.
