Vagifem side effects

Itching, lower back pain, possible GB attack (normal scan, but doctor is still suspect) swelling feet and ankles. Drug is worse than the symptoms it is prescribed for. Going to try the natural route.

I've been using Vagifem for three weeks. After intercourse, I'm experiencing a brown discharge. Is this normal?

I am not using this yet, i got it from my Doctor this week, and wanted to look up information on-line before i started using it, from all the women use use it now and have stopped using it, do you think a women should start this RX, or try something else for the problem? I never wanted to use any kind of estrogen product, but my doctor said this one is ok, i would like to hear from the women who take it or have taken it .Thank You

I have been taking Vagifem 25 mcg for about 3 months (about every other night or 3 times per week). I am starting to have chest pains. It feels like what might be angina, though I have never had chest pains in my life before. The drug information enclosed with the prescription does say that chest pain can be a rare but serious side effect. Anyone else had this side effect?

I am a healthy 55 year-old menopausal woman who started taking Vagifem in May 2007. By early July 2007, I experienced my first gallbladder attack. Both Ultrasound and CCK Gallbladder Ejection Fraction (70%) were normal, but I continued to experience gallbladder symptoms (nausea and right upper quadrant tenderness but no pain). My gastroenterologist and GI surgeon recommended gallbladder removal.

Neither my doctors nor I have linked Vagifem to these symptoms. I am thankful to have access to this website and learn that Vagifem may be the cause. My plan is to stop Vagifem altogether and note any improvement in my GI symptoms.

Itching of skin all over body and vagainal itching. I began taking the medicine due to sensitivity of vagainal area from sex and the vagifem really helped for a while. Then I began experiencing the itching of the vagina again and all over my body. I stopped using the product and within one week the itching was gone.

I seem to have lower back aches since I've been on vagifem.Is it possible that is a side effect?

I first started using vagifem a year ago. it stated inthe crimp inside the box that this stuff could cause gallbladder disease and dizziness. well i now have both of these side effects. i,m getting my gallbladder removed soon. i also have been on advair for my asthma for 2 years. when i visited the effects on the advair forum on this site i was shocked to learn that this medication ALSO causes gallbladder disease and a host of other things. if you take advair please visit that forum.
