Six years ago used Vivelle and gained 15 lbs. Went off and lost the weight. Have had severe night sweats, so I tried .05 mg Vivelle. Within 24 hours I could hardly get my wedding ring off and my abdomen was severely bloated. Took off the patch. It's not worth it.

I am a 35 year old female who as of July 1,2006 am 8 years status post total abdomial hysterectomy. Following my surgery my physician tried several hormone treatments and we finally settled on Vivelle - I have been on it for about 7 years and have had no trouble.... It works wonderfully for me!

I have been on the vivelle dot .05 for only 1 month - It seemed like the answer to my prayers until 3 days ago when I started suffering the worst vertigo possible. I have been unable to function at home or at work, mainly confined to bed. I can't sit up or turn my head from side to side without the room spinning around. It is horrible - I have removed the patch and wondering how long will this take to get out of my system.

I had a hysterctomy the 10th of June and I have gained 14 lbs. in three months. Could this weight gain be linked to the patch and if so what could I do to counteract it?

I have been wearing the patch for 4 weeks now. I am wearing the Vivelle patch to treat night sweats and hot flashes. It is working great! I have not sweats or hot flashes anymore. There is no noticable side effects other than I have not started my menstral cycle for yet.

I woke up last night extremely dizzy- could hardly negotiate the trip to the bathroom and back. My eyes could not focus and the lighted area on my alarm clock moved back and forth at high speed. I could not make out the numbers on the clock. My doctor has now removed me from this medication.

I had a hysterectomy on Oct. 7, and began using the Vivelle patch on Oct. 16, (one week ago). I put on a new patch on Oct. 20. I begin having shortness of breath periodically a few days ago, but have had it all day today (Oct.23). I read in the enclosed brochure with the patches that you may experience shortness of breath. Is the patch more than likely causing this problem?

fortunately, I don't have any side effects, but wonder how much estrogen I'm receiving for a 1.0 patch since it does not go thru the liver, and is it as strong as a estrogen pill.

I have been using vivelle dot for a few months now. It has completely relieved my hot flashes but I am unable to have orgasms now. Could this possibly be a side effect of vivelle? Maybe the dose is too high?

I had a hysterectomy and developed nightsweats and hot flashes. The doctor gave me the Vivelle patch and I was fine for 3 months. I took it off for about 4 months until the hot flashes returned. I went back on it for a month and out of no where I started to have mini black outs. I also had neck pain, numbness and a dull headache. I was rushed to the ER after an episode and was checked out from head to toe. They could not find anything wrong with me. I had put a new patch on one day and noticed the symptoms getting worse. I have taken it off since and everyday feel better. The doctor's are not convinced it is the patch but I know my body and feel it is the cause of all my symptoms.
